People using their five seconds of fame to make money is a tale as old as time. All a person has to do is appear on one reality show and the Instagram sponsorships will start flooding in. It stands to reason that more well-liked cast members will receive more sponsorships. As David Eason was one of the most hated people on Teen Mom 2 during his stint on the show, you would think that he wouldn’t be able to capitalize on his fame. But, the star recently signed up for Cameo and fans are not pleased.

David Eason’s fall from grace

Eason made it onto Teen Mom 2 when he got together with Jenelle Evans. He was let go from the show in February of 2018 after making homophobic remarks. Later, Evans was fired from the show as well and lost custody of her children after Eason shot the family dog in front of the kids.

Eason admitted to killing the dog in an interview with People Now.

“It was a situation where my daughter, her health, her safety was in danger,” Eason said.

“This was something that nobody wants to ever have to do. The dog was aggressive. Yes, she might not be huge or whatever, but you know when a dog bites a child on the face more than one time, then it should never be around the child again. If you give the dog up for adoption, one day it’s going to be around children again.”

He shot the dog rather than have the authorities do it.

“If you call the authorities at that point, the law says the dog has to be euthanized. I’m not going to pay anyone to euthanize my dog when I could do it myself.”

“I mean, I loved that dog,” Eason continued. “I still think about her every day. It’s really hard for me. A lot of people put me down for it, they hate me for it, but like I said it was not something I wanted to do.”

David Eason joins Cameo

Though Eason is no longer on Teen Mom 2, he recently got back together with Evans, much to the dismay of fans. He is now trying to use his fame to make a little extra money on Cameo, an app that lets fans buy personalized videos from stars.

“Hey there all you cool cats and kittens,” Eason said in a video on his Instagram story, referencing the Netflix show Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness. “I’m excited to do some shoutouts for you guys if you want to hit me up. Give a shoutout to your boyfriend, your husband, your Grandpa, your Grandma, all of them…holla at your boy. Cannot wait to talk to you guys.”

Fans are not feeling it

As soon as Eason announced that he was on Cameo, fans took to social media to express their disgust.

“Ohhh my gosh! They are seriously desperate for money,” one person tweeted.

One person suggested an alternative to getting a cameo from Eason.

“Or you can just watch ‘The Hills Have Eyes’ and get the same vibes……… lol” they wrote.

“I’d rather eat my own eyeballs!” another person tweeted.

And other fans thought the pricing was too high.

“Gross,” one fan wrote. “I checked for the price- $49. Jenelle’s is $75. Thought they used to be $100? Not sure. But no way is anyone getting a cameo from that pig. Famous YTers charge way, way less- like $10. Still too much for the Easons.”
