‘Teen Mom 2’: Kailyn Lowry Says She ‘Changed Her Mind’ About Having More Kids After Javi Marroquin ‘Blamed’ Her for Having a Miscarriage
Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry has three children and one on the way. She’s only been married once, to Javi Marroquin, but divorced after five years of marriage. Through the years, Lowry’s feelings and perceptions have changed about Marroquin and their relationship. When her 2014 book, Pride Over Pity, came out she couldn’t speak higher of Marroquin and their union. But by the time her 2018 book came out, A Letter of Love, she was singing a different tune.
“I knew going into the marriage with Javi that I would regret it. We were fighting constantly and not even sleeping in the same bed. I was overcome and filled with doubt at all times. I was trying to convince myself that things would get better in time, but they never did,” she wrote.
In A Letter of Love, Lowry even addresses the fact that she spoke so highly of her marriage to Marroquin in her 2014 book. In reality, they weren’t happy together.
“It was all a ditch attempt to try to convince myself. Of all the people watching our lives unfold, I now realize that while we were convincing the world, I was the one that needed to be convinced that love was real and that happiness would find me,” she wrote.
Kailyn Lowry’s social media post where things got heated
On March 11, Lowry posted a photo of a sonogram of her baby.
“Had a date with baby boy today,” she captioned the post. The reality star has since turned off the comments on the post, but InTouch Weekly reports that Lowry initially defended herself against commenters who gave her a hard time for having “more kids” after she originally told Marroquin she didn’t want anymore.
“This sh*t irritates me. You told your husband you didn’t want more kids and now look at you, popping them out left and right,” the site reports one Teen Mom 2 fan writing.
“My husband at the time blamed me for a miscarriage among other issues we had. Imagine someone changing their mind,” Lowry reportedly shot back. Lowry’s opened up about have a miscarriage before and how hard it was for her.
“So you have four kids with all different dads. I’m sure other teen moms watching want to be just like you,” the publication reported another person writing.
“I don’t have four kids with all different dads. Two of my children have the same father. And you know what? I was married to one! And it didn’t work out. LIFE HAPPENS,” Lowry reportedly responded.
Interactions like these are probably why Lowry disabled the comments. The reality star isn’t a stranger to receiving a ton of online criticism and hate. As a result, she turns off the comments on several of her posts and has protected her Twitter account.
