‘Teen Mom’: Briana DeJesus Shows off $115K Paycheck After Legal Victory Against Kailyn Lowry
Teen Mom rivals Briana DeJesus and Kailyn Lowry haven’t gotten along since the former joined the cast. Lowry sued her co-star for defamation in 2021, but the case was dismissed. As a result, Lowry must pay DeJesus’s legal fees, amounting to over $100,000. Following the legal victory, DeJesus threw a massive party with a few Teen Mom stars in attendance. A month after the ruling, the Orlando native posted a picture of the hefty paycheck to her Instagram story.
Briana DeJesus showed off a $115K paycheck after legal victory against Kailyn Lowry
On June 3, reality TV personality Briana DeJesus posted a screenshot of her upcoming day to her Instagram story, revealing she planned to receive the legal fees owed to her by co-star Kailyn Lowry following the dismissal of the latter’s defamation lawsuit.
She then uploaded a picture of the actual $115,000 check from an attorney-client trust account payable to her. DeJesus captioned it, “God don’t play when it comes to me.”
The suit began in July 2021 when Lowry sued her co-star for publicly claiming that she broke into a house where she physically assaulted Chris Lopez, the father of her two youngest sons.
In April 2022, a judge declared DeJesus the victor, pointing out that Lowry was arrested for “offensive touching.” The ruling claimed the Orlando native’s addition of her co-star supposedly breaking into a home didn’t change the “overall fact” or “add damage,” proving DeJesus didn’t have “malicious intent.”
DeJesus previously had a party to celebrate victory
As a result, the suit was thrown out, and Lowry owed the Teen Mom regular $120,000 for her legal fees.
Following the ruling, DeJesus celebrated with a huge party that other Teen Mom stars attended, including Jade Cline and alum Jenelle Evans. The father of her youngest child, Luis Hernandez, DJ’ed the event.
Many fans believe the MTV cameras were rolling during the bash as they spotted her sister, Brittany, wearing a microphone pack.
Shortly before the party, DeJesus posted a scathing message about her co-star on her Instagram story. She uploaded a close-up picture of their contract, showing Lowry’s signature and the date. Across the photo, the Teen Mom regular claimed it wasn’t “OK to use the court system to bully someone.”
The ‘Teen Mom’ star also claimed she wanted to ‘spit’ on Lowry
DeJesus continued, “when you signed this agreement to pay my lawyer fees, I hope you felt like complete s–t.”
The Orlando native closed her caption with several insults, adding, “f–k you” and “you can suck my d–k.” Additionally, she claimed she hoped they ran into each other so she could “spit in your face.”
Throughout the entire lawsuit, the rivals have gone back and forth. Following the verdict, Lowry obtained new legal counsel, suggesting she might fight to have to pay the lawyer fees.
Someone also leaked DeJesus’s home address in Lowry’s fan page, adding fuel to the fire as the Orlando native blamed Lowry. Teen Mom airs on MTV.
