Fans Are Worried About ‘Teen Mom’ Farrah Abraham’s Daughter After This Instagram Post
Former Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham has been in the spotlight a lot lately. Most of the attention has revolved around her plastic surgeries or something shocking she said during an interview. Unfortunately, some of that attention has also been centered around her daughter, Sophia. Fans chimed in after a post they thought was inappropriate appeared on Instagram. Here’s why fans are concerned about Farrah Abraham’s daughter.
Farrah Abraham’s daughter has her own Instagram account
Most celebrities these days have personal social media accounts. However, when those in the public eye are just children, a social media presence can become problematic. Some Teen Mom fans feel Sophia shouldn’t have an Instagram account because she is too young. With all the social media bullying out there (and online predators), it can be a toxic place.
Fans thought this post on Sophia Abraham’s page was inappropriate
A post of Sophia Abraham in tight leggings, a bra top, and red fur slides caused many commenters to post messages of concern on Instagram. Sophia was also licking an ice cream cone. Underneath her photo was the caption: “Gymnastics / lick / red.”
Fans immediately weighed in, saying Sophia should be covered up. “If u think it’s OK for her to parade around like this and then post it, just like the underwear shot she did, then I am done talking to u. Enjoy exploiting young girls,” said one person. Another fan said Sophia’s outfit was provocative. Others didn’t feel the same and said Sophia should be able to wear clothes she feels comfortable in. “It’s no big deal. Let her wear what she wants. Come on now. She is a kid,” said the fan.
Farrah Abraham’s parenting has been criticized before
Farrah’s approach to parenting is reportedly hands-off. The former Teen Mom star says she lets her daughter do what she wants and likes to take “breaks” from her. During an interview with In Touch, Farrah said she felt spending a lot of time away from her then-four-year-old daughter was a good thing. “It’s healthy that we have a break. Sophia has her own life and is doing her own thing, and I’m doing mine,” she said.
Farrah also admitted she once forgot about her daughter and left her in a store. Fans left Instagram messages criticizing Farrah’s parenting. Although many have complained, Farrah thinks she’s a good mom. “Motherhood is great. My daughter’s well-balanced,” she said during a 2016 interview with the Allegedly with Matthew Cole Weiss podcast. “I’m pretty proud of the parent that I’ve become.”
