‘Teen Mom’: Jenelle Evans Is ‘Waiting for Answers’ as Son Kaiser Lands in the Hospital
Jenelle Evans has had a number of issues when it comes to parenting her children. The former Teen Mom 2 star recently reached a new custody agreement regarding her middle child Kaiser. Now, she has revealed that Kaiser was recently admitted to the hospital.
Custody of Kaiser
Evans lost custody of Kaiser in 2019 after her husband David Eason shot a dog in front of the child and his siblings. In July, she regained custody.
“I am ecstatic to regain custody of my kids back!” Evans told E! News at the time. “Throughout this long process and final decision, I am excited to be moving forward and continuing to show America I’m a good parent.”
Kaiser’s father, Nathan Griffith, on the other hand, was compeltely upset to see his child go back to Evans.
“Nathan is an absolute wreck over this,” Griffith’s mother Doris Davidson told the outlet. “He called me saying, ‘Mom, I can not believe this.’ Kaiser is so loved, sheltered, and protected here, I felt like I was lying to him when I told him I was going to protect him. I couldn’t protect him. My heart is broken, it’s just broken…We are in shock, absolute shock, at the judge’s decision.”
For months afterward, Evans and Griffith were locked in a custody battle, but in October, they came to an agreement. Evans retained primary custody of Kaiser with Griffith getting the child every other weekend. In instances where Griffith is not able to take Kaiser, Davidson will be allowed to care for him instead.
“I’m happy we were able to work it out and reach an agreement outside of court,” Evans told E! News. “We’re finally ready to all get along and not spend thousands of dollars in court fees.”
Past allegations of abuse against Jenelle Evans and David Eason
Griffith has also accused Evans of allowing their son to be abused in the past, claiming that Kaiser has had black eyes and injuries over the years.
“Since NOOOOO one is hearing, I will say this. @ColCoES will not help, social services tried their hardest but NOOOO one listened … [It] makes me [realize] there is something wrong with the justice system,” he wrote in since-deleted tweets, captured by In Touch. “How do you [explain] marks on my son’s back, [his] black eye, whip marks on his rear end, continuous police investigation. Charges against David Eason for multiple violence and aggressive behavior … NOTHING HAPPENS. What am I supposed to do besides being a panic parent!”
Evans responded by denying the abuse.
“I have proof he was OK for his week visit with his father,” she tweeted. “I didn’t have one concerning phone call made to me or any reports of injuries. He’s just an adorable happy normal little man. #MommasBoy.”
Why is Kaiser in the hospital?
Recently, Evans shared a photo of her and Kaiser in the hospital to her Instagram stories. She captioned the image, “Bubba has infected lymph nodes for a while now and waiting on answers.” She shared another image of Kaiser in a hospital bed with the words “pray for Bubba.”
She has yet to update fans on Kaiser’s condition.
