Mark L. Walberg reveals the ‘interesting difference’ in ‘Temptation Island’ Season 4

Host Mark L. Wahlberg, who also presented the first three seasons, which aired from 2001 until 2003 until USA Network revived it in 2019, spoke to TV Insider shortly before the March 2022 season 4 premiere.

Describing the season as “a very heady, emotional ride,” the host admitted the amount of emotion that comes from the men surprised him.

“Usually I find that the women are a little bit more in touch in seasons past, and it takes a little while before the guys go from like boyish, ‘Oh my god, it’s crazy and fun,’ to having some real emotions,” he explained.

However, he pointed out that the men this season are “thinkers, feelers, poets, and artists,” causing it to get “very emotional very quickly.” In the trailer, viewers can see that things get emotional with Hania Stocker and Lascelles Lagares, who cries at one point.

A single returns for the first time in ‘Temptation Island’ history

The host has teased a “series first,” both in the interview and during the premiere episode. However, a sneak peek into the new season might have already spoiled the surprise.

While the ladies enjoy a party in an upcoming episode, season 2 single Deac Conti returned with one single male noting, “this has never happened before.”

Shortly after announcing his entrance, someone believed as Iris Jardiel greeted him by excitedly jumping into his arms. Immediately after, it cut to a confessional of her admitting she had concerns about falling into temptation.

During Temptation Island Season, the self-proclaimed “mama’s boy” found himself entangled in a love triangle with Ashley Howland and Ben Knobloch. Even though he attempted to continue courting her, she decided on Ben and chose to eliminate him. Therefore, Deac, who is likely still single, presumably returned for another shot at love.

‘Temptation Island’ season 4 trailer teases hookups and a proposal

The first-look trailer teased several hookups, including Hania, who climbs out of bed after probably hooking up with the female single still lying next to him.

Additionally, Luke pulled someone on top of him to straddle him while lying down, but it’s unclear if things progressed. Someone seemingly hooked up in the shower, another couple presumably had sex under the covers, and Lascelles cuddled a single in bed, shocking his girlfriend of seven years, Ashley Rodriguez, who watched it during a bonfire.

Hania’s girlfriend Ash Lamiroult kissed single Taylor Patrick and seemed to go on a few dates with him, and couple Gillian Lieberman and Edgar De Santiago both shared kisses with people they met in the villa.

While it’s unclear if any of the couples break up, the trailer did show one leaving the island engaged. Temptation Island airs Wednesdays on USA Network.
