Tiafoe and Broomfield haven’t discussed the specifics of how they met but we know that they’ve been dating since 2015 because Tiafoe marked their four-year anniversary on Sept. 8, 2019.

“Happy Fourth year anniversary babes. Damn time went craaazzyyy quick. We been datin datin,” he posted on Instagram. “Love you deep sexy. You one crazy chick but couldn’t imagine being with anyone else.”

And in another post, he mentioned the year writing: “Man to think how far we’ve come. 2015 meeting you for the first and also just starting my career. You’ve rocked with me thru it all. The good the bad and the standstills. It’s been a ride no one can put into words.”

Despite being together since 2015, the pair didn’t make things Instagram official until 2018.

Broomfield was born on Aug. 13, 1997, in Ontario, Canada. After moving to the U.S., she attended Clemson University where she played tennis for two years. During her first years with the Tigers, she was named ACC Freshman of the Year and the ITA Carolina Region Rookie of the Year.

In 2017, she transferred to UCLA. While playing for the Bruins, she partnered up with Gabby Andrews. They won the doubles event at the 2019 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship after defeating Kate Fahey and Brienne Minor of the Michigan Wolverines.

Broomfield has played tennis at the professional level as well, and in 2019 a short documentary about her life premiered on Amazon Prime. She was also a body double for Saniyya Sidney, the actor who portrayed Venus Williams in the 2021 biographical film King Richard. Today, she’s a content creator and social media influencer.

In addition, she recently started a philanthropic foundation. The Ayan Broomfield Foundation’s mission is to “elevate local programs worldwide, highlighting their impactful activities and increasing visibility” and to “provide those in need with athletic gear to enrich their lives through the power of sport.”

Broomfield is one of Tiafoe’s biggest cheerleaders and loves to publicly celebrate his milestones.

In 2023, when he reached the world rank of No. 10, she took to Instagram writing: “TOP 10 IN THE WORLD! I started taking screenshots of different moments and accomplishments a few years ago in anticipation of this day. I can’t post them all but I think this tells the story pretty well. I am so proud of you. Huge milestone and I think that we can finally say that #bigfoecameup.”

And then there was her reaction during his match against Shelton when she gave new meaning to being on the edge of your seat as she was halfway out of her seat watching her beau play.
