Gia Giudice has some big plans. The daughter of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Teresa Giudice, has been spending her time since college graduation back at home. She’s also been taking a more active role in the Bravo show that made her family famous. Still, she’s ready to start her own life. Gia Giudice hopes to move in with her boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, soon. Teresa Giudice admits to not loving that idea.

Teresa Giudice wishes Gia would make a different decision

Teresa Giudice has plenty of opinions about Gia’s plans to move out. She insists she’ll support her daughter in whatever she chooses. Still, she wishes she had made a very different housing decision. The mother of four said that while Gia and Christian plan to move in together, she would have preferred to see her eldest child step out on her own a bit before settling into domestic life with a man.

In a Bravo interview, Giudice revealed that she feels like she missed out on a right of passage by not living independently before getting married. She said she went straight from her parents’ home to her marital home because she wasn’t “allowed” to live alone. Even after divorcing Juicy Joe Giudice, Giudice had limited experience running a household solo. She linked up with Luis Ruelas only a short time later. Giudice seems happy enough now, but she still doesn’t want her daughters to follow in her footsteps. She said she’d like to see Gia gain more independence before living with her long-term beau.

How did Gia Giudice and Christian Carmichael meet?

While Teresa Giudice would like to see her eldest child live independently before settling down with her boyfriend, Gia seems resolute in her decision. She and her beau have been together long enough to know what is right for them. The duo first met in 2019. Gia shared the details of their early relationship during an Instagram Q&A, telling fans they met at the beach months before Gia started college. Their relationship has stood the test of time. They dated all through Gia’s college career and seem happier than ever.
