The 2 Topics That Meri Brown Would Prefer to Be Off-Limits on ‘Sister Wives’
Meri Borwn’s life has been an open book since 2010 when TLC introduced her and her polygamist family on Sister Wives. Over the last 14 years, viewers have been privy to Meri’s catfishing scandal, the breakdown of three of Kody Brown’s marriages, and have ridden along with the Brown family during multiple moves. While Meri doesn’t seem to mind sharing much of her life with fans, she feels a couple of topics are off-limits. One will surprise you; one probably won’t.
Meri Brown doesn’t like discussing finances
Meri Brown might have allowed TLC to film her family’s downfall, but when it comes to finances, she’d prefer to stay quiet. During a recent chat with Us Weekly, she dished on the topics she hates discussing on Sister Wives. Family finances were one of the biggest. She told the publication that she thinks finances aren’t necessary conversations to have when you consider the show’s main focus and subject matter.
The revelation might come as a surprise to many Sister Wives fans. Meri and the Browns have openly discussed their financial issues over the last several years. In fact, finances and the sale of Coyote Pass have been heavily discussed during the show’s current season. Meri even participated in conversations about the property, but admittedly, she shied away from sharing any personal finance information.
Fans of the series have long suspected Meri made more money than her sister wives and ex-husband, thanks to a successful MLM business and a small inn she owned independently from the family. Some viewers theorize that Kody strung Meri along specifically because of her financial situation.
The small business owner thinks sex talk should be off-limits
While Meri Brown’s desire not to talk about finances might shock some Sister Wives fans, her other off-limit topic shouldn’t be surprising. During the same interview, Meri revealed that she’s uncomfortable with any talk about sex and intimacy. That fact was evident several years ago when Meri was asked outright during a one-on-one interview when she was last intimate with Kody Brown. She squirmed uncomfortably before admitting she and Kody hadn’t been intimate in years.
The topics might be off-limits for Meri Brown, but it’s one that Christine Brown hasn’t avoided talking about. Christine, who left Kody in 2021, admitted the end of her spiritual marriage was very much influenced by Kody’s disinterest in a sexual relationship with her. During the most recent season of Sister Wives, fans have noted how physically affectionate she’s been on camera with her new love, David Woolley.
We’ll likely get to see more from the Brown family next year. While TLC has yet to announce season 20, a small cafe in Utah revealed that Sister Wives was filming in recent weeks. The footage will likely make it into a new season.
