‘The Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Alum Amanda Stanton Is Engaged After Less Than 1 Year of Dating Her Boyfriend
While several couples in Bachelor Nation seem to be headed for heartbreak, one member, who has struggled in the love department, is finally getting her happy ending. Amanda Stanton, who appeared on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, has had a number of Bachelor relationships fail publicly. Now, the star is engaged to her latest beau.
Amanda Stanton is engaged after failing to find love on ‘The Bachelor’
The mother of two has dated a number of men in Bachelor Nation and even had a long-term non-Bachelor relationship post-show. However, she has been dating boyfriend Michael Fogel for the past few months. On Dec. 2, she took to Instagram to announce that the two were engaged. The photo showed her and Michael hugging in front of a Christmas tree while she flashed her ring.
“YES!!!” she captioned the photo, along with the diamond ring emoji.
Fan reactions
Fans were quick to share their opinions.
“Aww yaay, I love that theyre always laughing together,” one fan wrote on Reddit.
“Yup, she is engaged,” another fan wrote. “So, happy for her. I follow her sister on Instagram (for fitness & food tips) & clearly this dude is loved by all in the family. Good for Amanda. Mazel tov.”
“Glad she got her happy ending,” another fan said. “Congrats to them 💕.”
“Just from what I’ve seen on her IG stories, Michael seems like a gem,” one user commented. “He’s also hilarious.”
“Love this,” one fan said. “He is so clearly the one for her. She seems the most herself and that’s when you know. 💕Go Amanda.”
But not everyone was happy for Amanda.
“This woman should rename herself as Teflon,” one person wrote. “No crap sticks to her. When she was still with Josh, she was posting on Instagram how she wished she could give her daughters Josh’s last name. She used to trash their father on the regular, but she comes across as a nightmare co-parent.”
Amanda’s dating past on ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelor in Paradise’
Amanda first joined Bachelor Nation on Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor. She made it all the way to hometowns before being eliminated. Then, she went on Bachelor in Paradise, where she thought she had found her happy ending, and got engaged to Josh Murray. The engagement only lasted six months. Then, Amanda went back to Paradise and this time, left the show with Robby Hayes. The relationship didn’t end on good terms.
“At that point, I hadn’t even seen him in weeks,” she wrote in her book Now Accepting Roses: Finding Myself While Searching for the One … and Other Lessons I Learned from The Bachelor of the end of her relationship with Robby. “When a fan direct messaged me a photo of Robby kissing another girl at a concert, I was further convinced he wasn’t truly interested in any type of relationship or commitment. … I felt his motivation was to look good and get more airtime.”
In May of 2018, Amanda began dating a man named Bobby Jacobs but the two broke up in 2019 amid accusations of domestic violence. Amanda was arrested after an altercation in Las Vegas on one count of battery domestic violence.
