Why do fans feel ‘The Bachelorette’ couple Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen break up?

The endless rumors about Kufrin and Yrigoyen’s relationship troubles began in early June 2020. The podcast host openly supported the Black Lives Matter movement and racial injustice following the unjust killings of Ahmad Abrey, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd. However, her fiance instead posted a thin blue line and a lengthy statement supporting police officers.

Fans pointed out what a difference of opinions the two had. Then Rachel Lindsay called out her co-host Kufrin on her fiance’s political beliefs. Kufrin did not defend Yrigoyen during the conversation, and the rumors blew up after The Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.

The couple didn’t share any photos or videos together since that time in early June. Fans also pointed out that Kufrin stopped wearing her engagement ring. She began staying with her mother, while fans noticed Yrigoyen was busy on long camping and hunting adventures. Fans feel that the split started with the difference of political views.

When did Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen break up?

After months of speculation, the former Bachelorette announced that she and Garrett Yrigoyen broke off their engagement on Sept. 1, 2020. Becca Kufrin made the news public on her Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and then with an Instagram post.

“With a heavy heart, Garrett and I have come to the loving conclusion to end our engagement,” Kufrin began. “All that we will share is that we still have nothing but love and respect for one another even though we’ve decided to go down our own separate paths.”

“While we’ve arrived at this point, it doesn’t diminish the countless, amazing memories made together. We hope that everyone can allow us grace, respect, and the time to heal our hearts as we navigate this next chapter in our lives,” the star concluded.
