The Bachelor’: Blake Moynes Rumored to Be in the Running to Be the Second Bachelor of 2022
Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette may just be getting into full swing but spoilers have already been released about who the next bachelor will be. Although Clayton Echard is currently one of the men competing for Michelle’s heart, he is rumored to be the first bachelor of 2022. Just like how ABC gave us two bachelorettes this year, it’s looking like the same will be true of The Bachelor next year. So, who is going to be the second bachelor of the year? Could it be bachelorette Katie Thurston’s ex-fiancé, Blake Moynes?

Blake first appeared on Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette. He claimed to have developed strong feelings for Clare but when she left the show early and was replaced by Tayshia Adams, he fell for her too. After things didn’t work out with Tayshia, Blake joined Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette. This time, things went a little differently. Blake ended up getting Katie’s final rose and the two got engaged.

Just months after their engagement went public, Blake and Katie called it quits.
“It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways,” they wrote in a joint statement posted to Instagram. “We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently. We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.”
Ultimately, the pair wasn’t able to make the relationship work long-distance.
“We were together for six months,” Katie said in a recent Instagram video. “Blake and I are very level-headed and mature, and we communicate very well on our thoughts. And we just both knew if this was how our first six months was as a couple, going forward it was going to not be in our best interest for our happiness to stay together. And so we, as mentioned, mutually decided to part our ways. But we still stay in touch, we still support each other. Nothing but love and respect truly.”

The Bachelor franchise loves to bring contestants back who have had multiple failed relationships, just look at Nick Viall, Clare Crawley, and even Becca Kufrin. Their multiple appearances in the franchise actually raised their stock rather than diminished it.
Recently, gossip account Deuxmoi and ScreenRant shared rumors about who the second bachelor of 2022 is. The sources said that the lead is a contestant with a “big personality” who is fresh off of a breakup and lives in Canada. That description pretty much only applies to Blake unless you start looking at some of the cast members from the first season of Bachelor in Paradise Canada. Granted, there is a lot of time between now and when the season would film, so things could change.
