‘The Bachelor’: Colton Underwood Might Be Throwing Shade at Peter Weber With His Photo Showing How ‘Love Wins’
No one expected the end of Peter Weber’s Bachelor season to go down as it did. We know he got down on one knee for Hannah Ann Sluss at the end — and she promised to give him her whole heart if he chose her. Unfortunately, we know it didn’t exactly end well for the couple. While Sluss was all in, Weber noted he still had feelings for Madison Prewett. And Sluss mentioned Weber also wasn’t completely over ex Hannah Brown, either.
Fans and ex-Bachelor stars alike have opinions on Weber’s season. While many criticized Colton Underwood for how his season ended, it looks like he and Cassie Randolph are going strong. And his Instagram post about love winning might be throwing shade Weber’s way.
Peter Weber broke Hannah Ann Sluss’s heart on ‘The Bachelor’
Weber’s season of The Bachelor didn’t end like we thought it would. We know Weber was falling hard for Prewett — but she decided to leave early, as she didn’t think their futures would be compatible given their lifestyles and values. This ultimately led Weber to propose to Sluss in the end. While she was elated at first, their engagement collapsed early on, as Sluss realized Weber wasn’t giving her his whole heart.
Sluss and Weber exchanged plenty of words both on the show during their breakup and during their live reunion. She mentioned that her engagement involved “three women,” as Weber not only had feelings for Prewett, but he also wanted to reach out to Brown.
“Even after our breakup, you reached out to my parents saying that you were just processing your emotions and that you wished more that anything we had met outside of reality TV,” Sluss told Weber, Buzzfeed notes. “How does that make any sense? You signed up to be The Bachelor. You told me these things that I held onto.”
Colton Underwood fought for Cassie Randolph’s love
Weber didn’t fight very hard to keep Prewett around when she was having doubts about her relationship. And he also didn’t fight to hold on to his engagement with Sluss. While Underwood didn’t have a perfect Bachelor season, fans can’t deny that he fought for who he loved — and that was Randolph.
Randolph called it quits during Underwood’s season, and she packed her bags as she was about to depart. But Underwood couldn’t let her go — and he begged her to give him a second chance. In the end, Randolph gave it another try, though the two decided to take their relationship slow and not go forth with an engagement.
That doesn’t mean a proposal isn’t in the works, though. Entertainment Tonight reported back in April 2019, Underwood said he and Randolph discussed marriage, and they’re both seemingly on board.
“But you know, we’ve talked about our engagement and talked about taking the next step in our relationship and [decided] one thing at a time,” Underwood said. “Honestly, if I was a betting man I would say it would happen within the next year, yes.”
Underwood’s Instagram post about love might be throwing shade
Underwood and Randolph seem to have a loving and wholesome relationship that’s drama-free. The same can’t be said for Weber at the moment, who seems to be attempting to continue a relationship with Prewett. And Underwood added a photo of himself and Randolph on March 10 that might be throwing shade. It included the simple caption, “Love wins.”
Many of Underwood’s followers took to the comments to give their opinion.
One noted, “at least there is one cute happy bach couple.”
Another wrote, “I needed this picture on my feed after tonight’s episode thank you.”
Yet another added, “At least you knew for sure you wanted Cassie and didn’t propose to someone else bc she was the only one still there!!”
We’re willing to bet Weber will get roasted for what happened on his season for years to come. As for Underwood and Randolph, we’re hoping they stay together forever!
