‘The Bachelor’: Demi Burnett’s Ex, Slater Davis, May Have Just Implied He’s Deleting Her From His Life
Fans of The Bachelor know and love Demi Burnett from Colton Underwood’s season. While she didn’t win Underwood’s heart, she went on Bachelor in Paradise next, and she was able to rekindle her feelings with her partner, Kristian Haggerty, whom she met off the show. While the two were engaged, it didn’t last. And Burnett thought she was finished dating completely once she met Slater Davis.
Davis and Burnett took part in a whirlwind romance, but it ended just months after it first began. Now, it looks like Davis may be leaving clues on his Instagram that suggest he’s removing Burnett completely from his life.
Demi Burnett thought Slater Davis could’ve been ‘the one’
Burnett and Davis had a true love-at-first-sight moment when they met. And she frequently spoke to the media regarding how fantastic the relationship was.
“I’m so happy,” she told Entertainment Tonight back in February 2020. “I’m obsessed with him. He’s the best ever. I feel like such a weird little sap, but he’s the most incredible person I’ve ever met and I can’t get enough of him.”
Burnett continued to gush about Slater on her podcast, Big Demi Energy. While talking to former Bachelor Nick Viall, she said that she thought Davis could be “the one” after only dating for three months.
“See, it’s like, not a long time but we’ve also been together every single day since we first met, which is insane. But, it’s just been a matter of circumstances,” Burnett explained. The madly-in-love couple chose to quarantine together once the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic hit, and this seemed to bring them together at first.
“Even whenever we’ve had times where we’re like, ‘hey, we probably should spend a night apart’ … and then I go home, and then we text each other like, ‘I miss you, I don’t want to sleep without you,’” she continued. “And yeah, it sounds like a terrible idea, but like, it’s honestly been amazing.”
The couple called it quits and deleted traces of each other from social media
As quickly as Burnett and Davis connected, they fell apart. “I recently broke up with my boyfriend,” Burnett said on her podcast in June 2020. “I love him, I’m crazy about him. He’s wonderful and it’s just been really hard.”
While Burnett and Davis weren’t seeing each other at the time the podcast episode aired, it seemed they were still hesitant to call it quits completely. While Burnett noted that they both wanted to work on themselves and remain the best of friends, she still seemed hopeful that they could reconcile in the future. And she even noted that after the podcast episode, she would see Davis, as he was dropping some of her belongings off to her.
“I wouldn’t necessarily declare it, as of right now, a breakup,” Burnett added.
Davis posted a message about ‘spring cleaning’ to his Instagram Story
So, are Burnett and Davis great friends like Burnett predicted they could be while going through this separation? We’re not so sure. It seems both of them have scrubbed evidence of each other off of Instagram. And Davis just posted an Instagram Story about “spring cleaning” the people in his life on July 1.
“Doing some spring cleaning of the people in my life … just be kind, be positive, it’s not that hard … surrounding myself with nothing but good energy,” Davis wrote. “It’s the best thing for me … sorry if you’re on the other side and thank you to those keeping me sane.”
Davis didn’t directly address Burnett in the post, but it could very well have something to do with her. As for Burnett, she hasn’t said much about Davis, either. But on June 21, she did post a funny photo with the caption, “Me re-reading the text I sent to find out what part I went too far at,” which seemed to be poking fun at her own behavior in her relationship.
Only time will tell to see if these two will reconcile!
