In a shocking ( but not so shocking) turn of events, Madison Prewett and Peter Weber have called it quits. After a full season of fighting to be together, the two ended their relationship just two days after the live finale and announcing to the entire Bachelor Nation that they loved one another. Now, in Bachelor history, we have seen a number of breakups. But have any happened this fast?

Jesse Palmer and Jessica Bowlin

Jesse Palmer and Jessica Bowlin got together on season five of The Bachelor. At the end of the season, Palmer gave Bowlin an airline ticket to visit him instead of a ring. They broke up a month after the show ended.

“Jessica and I shared an incredible romantic journey on the show that began with a friendship that remains strong today,” Palmer said at the time. “We simply realized that, individually, our next steps take us in different directions.”

Peter Weber and Hannah Ann Sluss

Weber and Sluss’ relationship might have seemed short because we saw their engagement and breakup in one night but they actually stayed together for about two months. Weber’s season ended filming in mid-November. Sluss revealed on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that she and Weber ended their relationship at the end of January.

Arie Luyendyk and Becca Kufrin

If Sluss’ story sounds familiar, it’s because Becca Kufrin went through the exact same thing.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. originally proposed to Kufrin and then went back and reunited with runner-up Lauren Burnham. Luyendyk broke up with Kufrin in mid-January.

Aaron Buerge and Helene Eksterowicz

In 2003, Aaron Buerge and Helene Eksterowicz were the first couple to get engaged on The Bachelor. Unfortunately, they called it quits just weeks after filming ended. Fans found out that they had split before the season even finished airing.

”It was just the best decision for both of us,” Buerge said at the time, even though Eksterowicz said she was ready to move to Springfield, Mo., to live with him.

“I said, ‘I think you’re making a big mistake,” she said. “I was in this for the right reasons. I would have done anything for you.”’

She alleged that Buerge broke up with her in a Starbucks.

Peter Weber and Madison Prewett

Weber and Prewett got back together after Weber called off his engagement to Sluss. The two announced that they were dating one another on the Bachelor live finale. But just two short days later, they told the world they were not going to pursue a relationship.

“I want to start by acknowledging the incredible group of women that I had the privilege of getting to know this season,” Weber captioned an Instagram post on Mar. 12. “Thank you for coming on this journey with me. I learned so many lessons from all of you that I will carry with me. Madi, thank you for your patience and unconditional love. You’re the epitome of a woman who carries herself with grace, stands by what she believes in, and loves wholeheartedly. That love is something I feel so grateful to have felt and will take a piece of that with me always going forward.”

“Madi and I have mutually decided to not pursue our relationship any further,” he continued. “Believe me this was not easy for either of us to be ok with, but after a lot of honest conversations, we have agreed that this is what makes most sense for the two of us. The love and respect I have for Madi will continue to endure.”
