Michelle Young sent Clayton Echard home
Michelle Young finally had a one on one date with Echard in week six. The cast was in Minnesota at the time, and it was right before hometown dates. Kids planned the dates for the week. They picked Echard for the one-on-one date.
They enjoyed a museum and planetarium, then sat down to talk. Young told him that if she gave him a rose, it meant she was ready to meet his family next week, but she didn’t feel like she could get there. She sent him home.
Echard didn’t go home right away. The kids wrote him letters, and he read them the next day. They wished him well on finding love one day. Luckily for him, he’s going to be the next bachelor.
Does Clayton Echard find love in his season?
It’s now Echard’s turn to find love. He teased the end of his journey while talking to Entertainment Tonight.
“I did find love,” he said. “I was a little skeptical going into the whole journey, but I’m so pleasantly surprised that things worked out much different than I thought. Again, I’m just so excited to watch it back and have everyone else watch it as well.”
He then explained what he was hoping to find before filming and what he actually got. “I was looking for somebody that was funny, intelligent, driven, put forth effort, and so I figured, ‘OK, that’s a good list and hopefully I’ll find that,'” he said. “Well what I found was very quickly the women blew my expectations out of the water. They brought all of that and so much more, so the expectations continued to rise, and I realized that, ultimately, I was going to find everything that I wanted and so much more.”
That doesn’t mean his journey went smoothly. The teaser for the season shows that Echard got upset along the way.

Echard isn’t safe from the drama either. He’s filmed talking to someone alone in a room. “She f*cked it up for everybody. I’m done. It’s over,” he says. The bachelor then cries, saying he’s “broken.”
It looks like there will be a mess along the way. But the former football player says he does find love.
