‘The Bachelor’: Who Is Emmanuel Acho’s Wife? Plus, Everything You Need to Know About the New Host
NFL player Emmanuel Acho took host Chris Harrison’s role on The Bachelor for the “After the Final Rose” special on March 15. However, many franchise fans have questions about the fill-in host. Is he married or single? Who is Emmanuel Acho’s wife? What NFL team did he play for? Will he host again?
Who is Emmanuel Acho?
Emmanuel Acho is an analyst for Fox Sports 1 and a former NFL player. However, The Bachelor producers chose the 30-year-old to host the “After the Final Rose” special because of his podcast and book. He is the author of the New York Times Best Seller, Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man.
In the summer of 2020, Acho began hosting a YouTube Series by the same name to address systemic racism issues in America. Since host Chris Harrison stepped down temporarily because of his comments about racism, the franchise chose to bring in someone to have a difficult conversation. In a tweet, The Bachelor host filled in franchise fans with five quick facts about himself.
“My name is Emmanuel Chinedum Acho,” he began. “I am Nigerian American. My middle name, Chinedum, means ‘God guides me.’ I was drafted in the NFL by the Browns. I taught myself how to play the piano. I went to the @UTAustin [University of Texas].”
After four years with the Cleveland Browns, Acho played for the New York Giants for one year. Then he finished his career playing for the Philadelphia Eagles for his last two seasons in the NFL. Acho did not mention a wife in his tweet.
Who is Emmanuel Acho’s wife?
The Bachelor fans are happy to find that Emmanuel Acho does not have a wife. He is on the right show if he is still searching for his partner in life. Acho’s social media accounts primarily focus on his book and podcast; no love interest clues. However, he sent roses to several friends who were very excited on Instagram to see him host The Bachelor.
“IT’S OFFICIAL: I’ve accepted the Rose & am honored to be hosting the @bachelorabc “After the Final Rose” this year,” Acho tweeted on Feb. 27. “It’s been a pivotal season & this episode will be one of the most storied shows in its history. Empathy is needed, and change is coming. See y’all then!”
When will host Chris Harrison return to ‘The Bachelor’?
Emmanuel Acho is only replacing longtime host Chris Harrison for one episode of The Bachelor. However, after the finale and special on March 15, neither man will return to host The Bachelorette. Acho was called in for one episode only at this point.
Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will host The Bachelorette Season 17 when it premieres in the spring of 2021. At this time, there is no return date for when fans will see Harrison as The Bachelor franchise host again.
