Season 25 of The Bachelor looks like it’ll be full of drama. One thing that’ll happen is Heather Martin will return to try to find love with Matt James. Fans were shocked to see the former contestant again but an ABC executive explained why she was brought back.

Heather Martin was on Colton Underwood’s season

Martin was originally a contestant on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. She was known for not having her first kiss yet. That was somewhat fitting with the season’s theme given Underwood was a virgin.

She got a one-on-one date with the star and her first kiss with him. However, that didn’t lead to a lasting connection. She decided to quit right before the hometown dates.

“Colton like you’re something so special but right now I just don’t think that it’s fair to you to take you to my hometown if I don’t know 100% confidently that I’m ready for that,” she told him.

Underwood agreed that it wouldn’t be right if she wasn’t sure. He then walked her out.

She returns on ‘The Bachelor’ to meet Matt James

James’ season has kicked off with him meeting the original cast for his season. But there will be more women added.

The season teaser was released and it showed more women joining the cast with limo exits. One of them starts off strong by kissing James right away. Another women told the cast, “They wanted to save the best for last.”

The ladies aren’t happy about this. Kit Keenan is seen calling one of them a b*tch. Victoria Larson is seen calling them “random a** h***”. But fans were quick to spot Martin amongst the ladies.

The executive said she felt like he was her husband

Once in a while we see a former contestant try to find love on another season. Nick Viall was a contestant on Andi Dorfman’s season. He later joined the cast for Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season. He was unsuccessful at finding love there and eventually became the bachelor himself.

Now that James’ season of The Bachelor has started it’s been teased that Martin will return. ABC Entertainment Executive Rob Mills talked about why they brought her back.

“She felt for sure this was her husband and basically did anything she could to get there and track him down,” Mills said on The Bachelor Recap podcast.

Martin is reportedly good friends with Hannah Brown, who James spent time with in quarantine. There is a chance they might hit it off given they have mutual connections.

But fans haven’t been thrilled to see her, and it doesn’t look like the other contestants will be either. We’ll have to wait and see how things will play out between Martin and James.
