‘The Bachelor’ Finale: ‘After the Final Rose’ Synopsis Changed, New ‘Surprise Announcement’ to Come
The Bachelor finale is sure to bring more drama than fans have ever seen in the past. Clayton Echard told Susie Evans, Rachel Recchia, and Gabby Windey he loved them. Now, the finale will show the aftermath of Susie’s exit — and what happens when Clayton admits to the other two women that he loves them and was intimate with both of them during the Fantasy Suites. Additionally, The Bachelor “After the Final Rose” synopsis changed, and it seems fans will get a new surprise.

‘The Bachelor’ finale will give fans a conclusion to Clayton Echard’s messy season
Clayton Echard might have the messiest season in Bachelor history, and fans are hoping to get some answers during The Bachelor finale. Prior to the finale, Clayton went on his Fantasy Suites dates with Rachel, Gabby, and Susie. He told all three women he loved them, and he spent the night with Rachel and Gabby after their dates. But it all went downhill when it came to Susie’s date.
While on Susie’s date, Clayton told Susie he was completely in love with her. But Susie gave Clayton an ultimatum. She told him if he was intimate with any of the other women, it would be “impossible” for her to move forward with an engagement.
Clayton attempted to get Susie to give him another chance. He told her he was the most in love with her out of all the women. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough. She left before The Bachelor finale — and now, Clayton will have to face both Gabby and Rachel with the truth.
The synopsis changed for ‘After the Final Rose,’ and a ‘surprise announcement’ is coming
After The Bachelor finale airs, fans will see Clayton Echard talk to his final women again at the “After the Final Rose” ceremony. And Reddit users noticed the synopsis for ATFR changed.
The first synopsis for the episode simply states, “What happens next is anyone’s guess, but it all goes down LIVE …,” along with the date and time of the finale. The new synopsis includes the finale date and time, but it ends with a new sentence. “Plus, an exciting surprise announcement that no one will see coming,” the new synopsis states.
What does the “surprise announcement” include?
“There are a few past women from other Bachelor seasons who were also on Bachelor in Paradise [who] are in LA right now,” a Reddit user noted. “I wonder if the super announcement has to do with them maybe getting to do something because a new Bachelorette announcement isn’t really a surprise.”
Other fans have even wilder guesses.
“Omg, what if someone got pregnant during Fantasy Suites?” another fan guessed. “That’d be wild.”
“Maybe he’s gonna propose to someone at the ATFR?” another viewer noted.

The Bachelor finale begins on March 14 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC and lasts two hours. It continues on March 15 with “After the Final Rose” for an additional two hours.
