‘The Bachelor’: Former Bachelorette Says Pilot Pete is So Alike to This Former Bachelor ‘It’s Creepy’

On a recent episode of the podcast Bachelor Party, former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay shared a lot of opinions about Pilot Pete’s season of The Bachelor. She told host Juliet Litman that Peter Weber reminds her so much of a former Bachelor that it’s “creepy.” Is Weber just this Bachelor 2.0?

Pilot Pete: The Bachelor influenced by former Bachelors?

Lindsay joined The Ringer’s Juliet Litman on her podcast recently to discuss all things related to The Bachelor.

“He makes out with a stunning number of women,” Litman said about Weber on the Bachelor Party podcast.

“Was it twelve, thirteen the first night?” Lindsay asked. She compared it to a former Bachelor, known for being a farmer from the middle of nowhere Iowa. “It’s kind of Chris Soules, right? When you don’t know what to say, you just make out.”

However, the former Bachelorette is not too taken with Weber as a catch.

“If you saw Peter at a bar, walking down the street, you’d say, ‘Oh he’s cute, but … there wouldn’t be thirty women running after him,” Lindsay said. Then Litman offered up a different idea.

“Does he remind you of Ben as the Bachelor? Because that’s been coming up a lot,” Litman said.

“A hundred percent. He’s Ben 2.0,” Lindsay confirmed. The Bachelor alum said she’s witnessed Weber and Higgins in person, and the results are spooky.

“I’ve seen them actually together,” Lindsay said. “And I was like … ‘this is creepy.’ Their mannerisms are even the same.”

Part of the connection people are seeing between Higgins and Weber is their knack for good-natured kindness–especially with the women on The Bachelor.

“I think he actually does a really good job in the way he handles women,” Lindsay said. She also believed “Ben did a really good job of that during his season.”

“I have gone back and watched seasons,” Lindsay said. When Lindsay was preparing to go on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor, she says she was terrified that she wouldn’t be a good fit. But out of all The Bachelor seasons she’s watched, Higgins was the one who made her feel most comfortable about going on the show herself.

“I will never fit in this world,” she said she thought at the time. “What is happening?” However, Higgins’ season made her feel better.

“I actually appreciated the type of Bachelor Ben was,” she said. “I think the same thing with Peter.” She especially appreciated the moment that Weber picked out flowers for Victoria P. after she said she’d never gotten flowers before.

“He picked the flowers off the wall for Victoria. I still can’t get over that,” Lindsay gushed. Still, the former Bachelor contestant wants more from Pilot Pete.

“I wanna see him shine,” Lindsay said. “I wanna his personality come out.”
