Underwood and Randolph were able to meet a “private agreement” about the dispute, and the restraining order was lifted.

In an exclusive interview with Good Morning America, Underwood publicly announced he is gay. “The only reason I’m sitting down with you today is because I have the love and the support of my friends and my family,” Underwood explained, making it clear that going public is just one step in a personal journey that has been in the works. Of his controversial relationship with Cassie Randolph, Underwood seemed apologetic: “I wish that I would’ve been courageous enough to fix myself before I broke anybody else.”
