‘The Bachelor’: Katie Thurston Confronts ‘Queen’ Victoria Larson in New Episode
The lead of The Bachelor may be looking for love, but there’s plenty of drama to be had along the journey. In a trailer for the Jan. 25 episode of The Bachelor, Katie Thurston confronts notorious show villain ‘Queen’ Victoria Larson for her behavior in the process thus far. Read on to see what she had to say to the other contestant in the house.
How Victoria Larson has been acting in the house so far
Larson has built a reputation for herself at the Nemacolin resort with the other contestants for “stealing time,” and for her no-nonsense attitude. She’s direct with the other women when she has issues with them, which has rubbed some of the contestants the wrong way.
Larson was especially vocal with her opinions about contestant Sarah Trott for not socializing with the other contestants and for showing up on a group date she was not part of after already having a one-on-one date.
What happened last week between Katie Thurston and ‘Queen’ Victoria Larson
In the Jan. 18 episode of The Bachelor, Trott revealed to Thurston that her father had a terminal illness, which was weighing on her decision to leave the show. The two had a vulnerable and emotional conversation, in which Thurston revealed to Trott that her own father had died.
“My dad passed away in 2012, so I 100% encourage you to be with him,” Thurston told Trott. “If I could get back the minutes I had with him…”
Trott then said it was hard being on the show, not knowing how much longer her father had to live.
“I understand that more than I would like to,” Thurston said. “Knowing that, I mean, yeah, it changes everything. I missed out on my goodbye to my dad, so I would never want that for you.”
Thurston then relayed to the other contestants that Trott had decided to leave the show.
“[Trott] realizes that this is not for her, she actually has a really big family thing as well that’s looming over her,” Thurston revealed to the other contestants, while Larson clapped in response. “So she went home today. I want to remind everyone to stay classy in this process because we don’t know our stories.”
Thurston then said she did question Trott for the reason behind her leaving, before she knew about Trott’s family concern.
“I did ask [Trott] some important questions, I wanted to know if she was leaving because of last night,” Thurston continued. “What I don’t want is for her to think she was bullied out of here. She does have a connection with Matt, but ultimately she said she’s doing what’s best for her.”
She then said that the show ends with an engagement, and if Trott wasn’t ready for that, it makes sense for her to leave.
How Katie Thurston confronts ‘Queen’ Victoria Larson in the teaser clip
In the clip on YouTube for the Jan. 25 episode, Larson asks Thurston for an apology for the group conversation they had had before Thurston knew about Trott leaving, when many contestants took issue with Trott isolating herself from them.
“I just really didn’t like when you shut me down during group conversation,” Larson said, starting the conversation between herself and Thurston.
The other contestant replied: “Are you talking about today when you were calling [Trott] names?”
Larson said she “would love an apology” and she “wasn’t done expressing herself.” Thurston then called Larson “toxic and rude” in response.
“If you want to express yourself with your dildo, and think you’re ready for an engagement, you can do that,” Larson said, referencing the sex toy Thurston brought to production.
Thurston shut down Larson in her following statement, implying that having a sex toy doesn’t mean she isn’t ready for an engagement.
“I love my vibrator, so I don’t know what you’re trying to do, coming at me about like, ‘your vibrator,'” Thurston responded. “I’m very confident in what I want to do with my life, and it’s showing how insecure you are.”
Then both women proceeded to call each other b*tch*s.
“I think you are a b*tch and if you try to shut me down again, I probably wouldn’t,” Larson said.
“I’m not going to apologize to you,” Thurston concluded the conversation.
