‘The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart’: Chris Harrison Teased It’s Likely There Will Be More Than 6 Episodes
Some fans were reluctant to watch The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart at first. However, since the coronavirus (COVID-19) forced much of the world to quarantine in their homes, everyone is looking for new content.
In a recent interview with The Bachelor franchise host, Chris Harrison, fans were given an inside look into how long the new show will run for.
Why isn’t ‘Listen to Your Heart’ at ‘The Bachelor’ Mansion?
“The Bachelor mansion — as massive as it is — is not big enough space-wise for Listen to Your Heart,” Harrison told Lauren Zima at Entertainment Tonight. “Fresh show, fresh look. Bachelor in Paradise is somewhere different. We really wrestled with this idea. We could have crammed it into the mansion, but we thought, let’s take it to a different place.”
The new Bachelor franchise show was filmed primarily in Nashville, Tennessee.
“It’s kind of a ranch with a mansion on it,” Harrison said about the location. “We have a lot of sprawling space.”
He also indicated that the first performance was in the mansion. There is plenty of space for the contestants to live and perform.
How many episodes of ‘The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart’ are there?
Listen to Your Heart originally only had six episodes. However, since the coronavirus pandemic caused the postponement of Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette, fans are avidly looking for new content.
“We are trying to extend that and get as much content as possible,” Harrison told Zima. “It was originally 6 [episodes]. We are doing our best to get content on and create as much content as possible. It’s not crazy for ABC to call and say ‘hey, episode 4, can you do another hour?’ That happens quite a bit.”
Production on Listen to Your Heart is continuing from home since the coronavirus caused many’ stay at home’ orders. So, Harrison told Zima that the episodes are not finished. They have everything filmed and are ready to show it to the world. However, the response to the show will help determine the number of episodes.
Will we have a ‘Listen to Your Heart’ reunion show like on ‘The Bachelor’?
“Hopefully, everybody loves the show and wants more of it,” Harrison commented. “If there is this appetite for more. If we think there is enough story there, then ‘yeah’ it will be done without an audience. It might be on zoom.”
Harrison explained that there were no plans for a reunion episode because The Bachelorette was going to begin following the ending of Listen to Your Heart. Now that Clare Crawley’s season is postponed, there is plenty of air time available for a reunion episode.
Although the logistics might be different with no gatherings over 10 currently allowed in the country, the hope is that there will be a reunion show.
The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart airs Monday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
