‘The Bachelor’: Reality Steve Just Posted DMs from Peter Weber’s Mom Barbara and They are Wild
The Bachelor finale may have been a few days ago but fans are still reeling from the showdown between Peter Weber’s mom Barbara Weber and his girlfriend Madison Prewett.
On Tuesday night’s finale, Barbara made it clear that she didn’t approve of Prewett’s relationship with her son. She got the chance to explain some of her disdain on the show, but apparently she DM’d reality show blogger Reality Steve to set the record straight.
What happened on the finale?
On part one of the finale, Barbara got to spend time with both Prewett and Hannah Ann Sluss. Afterward, she immediately told Peter that Sluss was the one for him. Shortly after this, Prewett sent herself home and Peter proposed to Sluss. Not being able to get over Prewett, he broke off his engagement to Sluss and got back with Prewett.
“He’s going to have to fail to succeed,” Barbara said of her son’s relationship on the finale. “That’s it. All his friends, his family, everyone that knows him knows that it’s not going to work. We’ve been trying to tell him.”
What did Barbara DM Reality Steve?
After part one of the finale aired, people didn’t quite understand why Barbara disliked Prewett so much. But her DMs to Reality Steve made the reason for her feelings abundantly clear.
“Unfortunately what wasn’t shown was how it all started,” she wrote. “Madison had us wait 3 hours because she didn’t want to come in to meet us. My son begged her to do so. Once in she never offered an apology (keep in mind we had traveled across the world to meet both girls). When I asked her if she loved my son she said NO! And that she would not accept a proposal in 4 days. (Then what was she doing there?) My son Jack pointed out to Peter that in the small time he was there she was all about herself and not about Peter. Trust me when I say all that glitters is not gold!!! Thank you.”
Steve, who is probably an expert on all things Bachelor, threw his support behind Barb’s claims.
“I believe every word Barb said tonight bc she told someone THE EXACT SAME THING IN A DM EARLIER TODAY,” he wrote. “Wow. She truly despises Madison. Feast your eyes…”
Barbara was able to reveal certain aspects of what happened with Prewett on the finale and Prewett didn’t deny the claims. She, did, however, say that the experience was not all about Peter.
“This isn’t just Peter’s journey,” she said to Barbara. “When you sign up to come on the show, you’re looking for love, too. This wasn’t just Peter looking for his wife. I totally understand that, as a mother, you’re obviously going to be thinking about Peter, but this is my journey, too. This isn’t just Peter choosing me — it’s me choosing Peter.”
Fan backlash
There have been mixed reactions to Barbara’s disdain for Prewett, but for the most part, people were not here for Barbara’s antics.
“Well, it doesn’t matter if you like or dislike Madi or Hannah Ann OR Peter,” one person tweeted. “Bachelor Nation seems to be united under the Anti-Barbara flag tonight.”
“I’ve seen three episodes of ‘The Bachelor’ and Barbara is the worst supervillain ever and I will hear no opposing arguments,” another person wrote.
