‘The Bachelor’: Tayshia Adams Slams Colton Underwood for ‘Extremely Rude’ Lies About Their Fantasy Suite Date on ‘Coming Out Colton’

Former star of "The Bachelorette" Tayshia Adams has accused Colton Underwood of lying about her on his new Netflix series, "Coming Out Colton." She says he fabricated details of their fantasy suite date, making her look like a "pity case."

Colton Underwood says he’s trying to be honest with the world, but according to Tayshia Adams, the former star of The Bachelor is lying. Tayshia said that Colton made false claims about their time in the fantasy suite together on his new Netflix series, Coming Out Colton. Here’s what Colton said and how Tayshia reacted.

Tayshia Adams competed for Colton Underwood’s heart on ‘The Bachelor’ before he came out as gay

The Bachelorette star Tayshia Adams was one of 30 women who competed for an engagement to Colton Underwood on season 23 of The Bachelor, which aired in 2019. She made it to the final three, which meant she spent a night in the fantasy suite with Colton. In 2021, Colton publicly came out as gay, making him the first lead of the TV series to do so.

In his new Netflix series, Coming Out Colton, Colton made some claims about his time in The Bachelor fantasy suite with Tayshia. He described his clothing, saying he covered up to avoid leading Tayshia on.

“I felt so bad for Tayshia because I remember that night, I slept in sweatpants and a sweatshirt,” Colton said. “I was like, ‘I just don’t want to give her the wrong impression.’”

Tayshia Adams says Colton Underwood lied about their Fantasy Suite date on ‘Coming Out Colton’

The former Bachelorette lead accused Colton of lying on an episode of her podcast, “Bachelor Happy Hour,” that came out on Dec. 15. Tayshia said he did not wear the clothes he described, and she couldn’t understand his dishonesty.

“No, Colton Underwood did actually not sleep in sweats and a sweatshirt that night,” Tayshia said (via Page Six).

She went on to detail the evening as she remembered it and what Colton wore. “He actually slept in boxers that night because it was so hot in Portugal, and I remember because the door was wide open, and it was raining outside, and we were trying to get air ventilation it was so hot and sticky. So there’s actually no way he would’ve been in sweats and a sweatshirt.”

The former ‘Bachelorette’ star said she’s not a ‘pity case’

Tayshia expressed confusion about why Colton would lie about such a minor detail. Seemingly addressing the former Bachelor lead, she said on the podcast, “I don’t know what you’re trying to cover, and I don’t know why you’re dragging me down for something that’s not even true, like it’s absolutely not true. I have no reason – like why the hell would I lie?”

She went on to call Colton’s claims “extremely rude” and say that she’s not his “pity case.”

“First of all, it’s extremely rude,” Tayshia said. “I mean, don’t make me seem like this pity case, like he felt so bad for me.”

When her co-host, Becca Kufrin, questioned why Colton would lie about something so small, Tayshia said she didn’t know.

“It honestly makes me so sad because it’s just like at the end of the day, like we did have really good conversations, and I thought that we ended on a good page,” she said.
