‘The Bachelor’: Tyler Cameron Reveals How COVID-19 Restrictions Could End up Being a Good Thing for the Show
The upcoming seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette will probably look much different than previous seasons. Each show will reportedly be set in one location due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This might be a bit of a disappointment for each show’s cast members. However, the restrictions might actually turn out to be a positive thing for the stars. In fact, former Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron, who is good friends with this year’s lead on The Bachelor, Matt James, revealed why he thinks filming in one location could end up being a good thing.
‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’ will both reportedly be set in one location
The Bachelorette is right around the corner as fans will finally get to watch their beloved show. This comes after production for it got suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While they have found a way to film The Bachelorette, as well as The Bachelor, COVID-19 restrictions could make them both look a little different. Viewers typically see Bachelors and Bachelorettes travel to different beautiful locations across the world each season. However, both The Bachelorette and The Bachelor will reportedly take place in one location during their upcoming seasons.
According to Us Weekly, The Bachelorette will reportedly be set at La Quinta Resort & Club in California. The Bachelor, on the other hand, will reportedly be set at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania.
Tyler Cameron is friends with Matt James
Fans received the announcement of Matt James becoming the next Bachelor in June. James has actually not previously been on any shows within the Bachelor universe. However, he was previously cast for Clare Crawley‘s upcoming season of The Bachelorette before the pandemic delayed production.
Casual fans of the show might not be familiar with James, but big fans probably are. James is good friends with former Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron, who was on Hannah Brown‘s season.
Cameron and James both played college football at Wake Forest. They were then both a part of the popular quarantine crew earlier this year with Brown.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Cameron revealed what James is potentially looking for on The Bachelor.
“Matt is deep. [You need to be able] to have these big, connecting conversations,” Cameron said, according to Us Weekly.” I think that’s going to be super important for him [while] finding his partner, someone who can really connect on a deeper level with.”

As mentioned before, filming in one spot might be disappointing for some cast members. Cameron, though, thinks that some positive things could come from it.
“It’s sucks because there are so many cool places you get to travel to,” Cameron said, according to Us Weekly. “But I think this is going to be really good for the connections. Because there are not any travel days, there are not really many dead days, you know what I mean?”
Cameron continued: “There’s not B-roll to be filmed [in] the new country every week. I think these days, hopefully, it can be used to spend more time together with that person or with all the people. So I’m hoping that allows for better connections, which I think it could.”
He certainly makes some good points. It will be interesting to see how the connections form on The Bachelorette and The Bachelor during these upcoming seasons.
