Olivia Caridi is one of many former stars from The Bachelor who made a name for herself on the show. Unfortunately for season 20 star, that fame came at a price. Caridi was vilified on her season of The Bachelor and ruthlessly bullied for her looks online.

Now, Caridi has accepted that some of her behavior was wrong, but that’s after some serious mental health struggles, according to Us Magazine

Olivia Caridi has been busy since ‘The Bachelor’

Cardi has used her notoriety for good, even if it did cost her a lot. She was made fun of for the size of her mouth on the show.

Now, Caridi has a new podcast titled Mouthing Off with Olivia Caridi, a clear reference to the dig about her looks. On the show, she interviews other reality TV stars and celebrities. Topics range from reality television to dating.

In addition to the podcast, Caridi has started grad school at NYU. Although Caridi doesn’t talk about the degree on her website, she does list some of her journalism credentials. Caridi makes perfect sense as a podcaster, considering she already has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Caridi graduated from Texas Christian University Cum Laude.

Is Olivia Caridi dating anyone?

On her season of The Bachelor, Caridi was fighting for the love of Ben Higgins. Since then, she’s been quiet about her dating life. She lay low for a while after leaving The Bachelor because of the negative effects the show had on her mental health. Caridi said on her podcast that,

“I was suicidal. I’ve had depression my entire life. When the show was airing, I was getting messages saying I should kill myself, and, you know, you’re not worthy of living. I really, truly felt bullied on the show.”

In February 2020, Caridi said she was dating someone seriously. However, the relationship didn’t last. By June of that same year, Caridi was single again. Her official Instagram page doesn’t have any pics of her and a potential suitor, at least not since April 2020.

Caridi is clearly a catch, even though she was vilified in her seasons of The Bachelor. Despite people making fun of her for her looks, Caridi is gorgeous, smart, and a hard worker. Love will surely find her soon.

Now, Caridi does admit that the way she acted on The Bachelor may have hurt others. She feels bad about that. But she feels attacking her appearance crossed a line. According to TV Insider, Caridi told Higgins that she can work on the problematic parts of her behavior, but her looks are out of her control. Caridi told Higgins,

“I’m sure a lot of it was deserved, but I did feel like some of it was a little ruthless. And it affected me. It was just making fun of my physical attributes that I can’t change.”

Caridi taking responsibility for her actions was impressive, and fans are here for it. Support from Bachelor Nation poured in after Caridi’s interview. Although Caridi was nervous about bringing up all the bad memories again, it couldn’t have gone better.

Caridi proved that she was able to grow after her time on The Bachelor, even though the experience wasn’t the most positive. Now, Caridi is starting a new chapter, and she may be helping others while she does it. Speaking out about her mental health struggles could end up helping others with their own issues.
