[Spoiler alert: Possible spoilers ahead for hometown dates and the final rose on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor.]

Matt James’ season of The Bachelor is well underway, and the final women are now headed for their hometown dates. Bri Springs, Serena Pitt, Rachael Kirkconnell, and Michelle Young have the opportunity for Matt to meet their families. But the promo for the hometown dates shows one of the ladies crashing after skydiving. Here’s what we noticed.

How many hometown dates is Matt James attending on ‘The Bachelor’?

Matt has four women hoping to receive his final rose at the end of the season. But first, he has to meet their families. Bri, Serena, Rachael, and Michelle are all hopeful their parents, siblings, and friends will fall for Matt exactly as they have throughout this journey.

So far, the Bachelor journey has been bittersweet for Matt and the women. Contestant Heather Young from Colton Underwood’s Bachelor season was hoping to jump into the fray ultra-late, but Matt denied her the chance due to limited time. Not only that, but contestants Pieper James, Kit Keenan, Abigail Heringer, and Jessenia Cruz all went home.

Now, the final four are closer than ever to ending up with Matt as their husband. But it looks like trouble’s afoot. The promo for hometowns shows Michelle’s mother wondering if the process is moving too fast for Michelle. And one of Serena’s family members tells her she doesn’t seem “smitten,” which reduces Serena to tears.

Who crashes on the skydiving date with Matt James?

There’s another startling aspect to the hometown promo — and that’s a serious skydiving crash. Matt is seen getting strapped into skydiving gear while a voiceover from one of the women explains, “You have to take that leap of faith.” Then, the promo shows one of the women hitting the ground hard while skydiving — and Matt runs to her rescue.

“Everything that I was working towards is starting to crumble,” a voiceover of Matt echoes as he’s running.

So, which woman hits the ground while skydiving during hometowns? It looks like it’s Rachael. While Matt is in the airplane prepping to jump, Rachael is seen next to him. The official Bachelor Nation website also verifies it’s Rachael who crashes. The site explains the duo are in Farmington, Pennsylvania’s Nemacolin Woodlands Resort when it occurs.

Rumors are swirling that Matt ends up with Rachel in the end. So, are the two engaged post-Bachelor? According to Distractify, spoiler king Reality Steve initially said Rachael does, indeed, receive the final rose — but she doesn’t leave the show engaged. Instead, the two continue their relationship off-camera.

Reality Steve added additional spoilers later, though. Rumors now suggest Rachael and Matt are engaged. We’ll have to wait and see what happens. For now, Rachael is working on rebuilding her public image after racist photos of the past surfaced online. Host Chris Harrison has also found himself in hot water over defending Rachael and giving her the benefit of the doubt.
