‘The Bachelor’: Who Received Date Roses During Episode 5? The Last One Enraged Every Contestant
The twelve remaining women on The Bachelor travel to Costa Rica this week. They believe that they left the drama back in the States, but there’s no such luck on this reality TV show. The jealousy escalates while Peter Weber is on a romantic Costa Rican date with Sydney. Let’s take a look at who received date roses this week—one of these ladies is the “best kisser,” according to Weber. The last one may shock you.

Weber’s first date is with the ‘best kisser’
The bachelor chooses Sydney for the first one-on-one date. They take off in a helicopter shortly after the women meet up with Weber in Costa Rica. They fly through the Costa Rican jungle, gazing at waterfalls and volcanoes.
The two begin making out in the helicopter. The make-out session is a strong indication about where this date is going. Weber gives her a piggyback ride over to a picnic on a king bed with a gorgeous view.
“Here’s to continuing an amazing adventure,” Weber tells her. “Here’s to you honestly for being such an amazing rock to me the past couple weeks.”
Peter tells Sydney she is the most mysterious and sexy. Then the stud drops a major bomb. He admits that she is the best kisser out of all of the women. He continually tells her that her lips are so soft.
“I could just lay there till the stars come out,” Weber says about Sydney. “It’s a very easy chemistry. I’m flying high today, that’s for sure.”
Later on that evening, he tells her that their date was just what he needed after his head injury.
“You’ve shown me qualities exactly what I’m looking for in a wife.” You have just inspired me so much. I want to be your rock.”
He gives her the rose, and then they make out in the waterfall for what seems like forever. There was speculation early on in the season that Weber slept with someone on the show before fantasy suites. Is this the moment everyone was talking about? It sure looks like it.
The group date takes the jealousy on ‘The Bachelor’ to a whole new level
Then we have another enormous group date which none of the women are very thrilled to be going on. Shiann, Kelsey, Victoria F., Madison, Natasha, Victoria P., Lexi, Hannah Ann, Tammy, and MyKenna all head on the date titled, “Let’s capture our love today.”
The editor-in-chief at Cosmopolitan, Jessica Pels, tells the ladies that they are here to do a photoshoot for the fashion feature of the March issue. The winner will score the cover with Weber.
The photographer poses the ladies a few at a time with the bachelor. Victoria F. takes it upon herself to start kissing Weber during the photoshoot. Hannah Ann goes in for the kiss next, while Kelsey is incredibly jealous over the entire thing.
Victora F. wins the cover photo shoot for Cosmo. They stare into each other’s eyes and make out under a waterfall while the other women must watch.
Later in the evening, Weber and Victoria F. spend more time kissing. He tells the cameras that he loves every minute with her and can’t wait to see where it goes. However, in the next scene, he’s making out with Hannah Ann.
Kelsey tells Weber she’s falling in love with him, and he smiles and kisses her. Many fans speculate that the producers want Weber to keep Kelsey around for the drama. His reaction to her love confession solidifies this fan theory. He doesn’t seem very into her.
“I really feel like our relationship is more than just fun,” Weber gives the coveted group date rose to Hannah Ann.
Kelley gets the other one-on-one date with Weber, but she almost goes home
Weber is keeping Kelley around because he met her before the show. He thought it might be fate, but he needs to see if she could still be the one.
“The male energy is more than the female energy,” the Chaman says to the couple on their date. Weber feels like he is giving more than Kelley is.
We can tell that he’s not feeling everything he wants with Kelley. He comes out and asks her later that evening why she isn’t giving it her all.
“Is he ready for a wife?” Kelley tells Weber the questions that are running through her head. “Why is he rewarding this drama?”
She promises to give her all to the process, but it doesn’t sound like it. For a moment, we all wonder if this might be the first one-on-one date where the pilot does not give the woman a rose. However, for some reason, he can’t help but find all of the women, “amazing.” The last date rose goes to Kelley.
Did Kelsey get a date rose in episode 5?
We thought all of the date roses were handed out. All that was left to do was wait until the official rose ceremony. That was until Kelsey snuck out of the Costa Rican mansion to have her own little date with Weber.
The 28-year-old from Iowa wanted to tell the bachelor exactly what was on her heart. She defended herself from the terrible things Tammy said about her. Then Kelsey and Weber shared a romantic afternoon together.
He ended up giving her a rose that he just so happened to have lying around, and pissed off every other contestant who didn’t have a rose, yet.
Luckily, we don’t have long to wait for the next date roses to be handed out. The Bachelor returns for a special Wednesday episode on Feb. 5, 2020.
