‘The Bachelorette’: Becca Kufrin Calls Out Ryan Fox for His Conversation With Michelle Young: ‘That’s Bulls***! Don’t Lie to Her’

During night 1 of Michelle Young's season of 'The Bachelorette,' a lot of drama surrounded Ryan Fox and his notebook. Former bachelorette Becca Kufrin called Ryan out for what he told Michelle.

Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette is underway, and there has been plenty of drama so far. During week 1, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe discovered a disturbing notebook among contestant Ryan Fox‘s belongings. In the ensuing drama, Ryan claimed he had the notes because he knew very little about The Bachelor. However, former bachelorette Becca Kufrin recognized Ryan and believed that he was lying.

‘The Bachelorette’ week 1 began with drama

When Tayshia and Kaitlyn looked through some of the men’s belongings during week 1, they found something disturbing in Ryan’s suitcase. The 30-year-old environmental consultant had taken extensive notes over the series. The notes had everything from “how to not be the villain” to “how to get more screen time.”

Michelle confronted Ryan right away. Ryan defended himself by saying he hadn’t seen much of The Bachelor, so his friend’s wife wrote the notes to help him get familiar with the franchise. In spite of this, Michelle decided to send Ryan home.

By now, Becca is no stranger to Bachelor Nation. The 31-year-old former bachelorette was also a contestant on The Bachelor and recently found love on Bachelor in Paradise. Becca sat down with Michelle during the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast to discuss her first two weeks of the show. She shared that she recognized Michelle’s contestant Ryan.

“I have to say, I knew Ryan beforehand. And so for him to be like, ‘Oh I have no idea about The Bachelor world’ — he was our bachelor for Bachelor Live on Stage about a year and a half, two years ago,” Becca said.

Bachelor Live on Stage was a live show Becca hosted, where women were chosen from the audience to compete in a pretend season of The Bachelor condensed into one night.

“He knew a lot about the show. He had like all this knowledge bank about everything and was very invested,” Becca told Michelle. She explained that it was frustrating to hear Ryan tell Michelle he knew little about the Bachelor franchise. “When he was trying to lie to you, I’m literally yelling through my screen like, ‘That’s bulls***! Don’t lie to her.'”

Regardless of the notebook, Michelle took it as a bad sign that Ryan “contradicted himself” when she confronted him about the papers. She chose to send him home, which was a relief to Becca. “I’m so glad that you just saw right through the BS and sent him home,” Becca told her.

What’s next for Michelle Young’s season?

The first two weeks of Michelle’s season have aired, and there has been plenty of drama so far. Besides the whole Ryan situation, drama surrounding Joe Coleman arose during week 2. Michelle felt that her integrity was coming into question when Jamie Skaar brought up rumors about whether the two had a relationship before the show began.

Michelle has 19 men remaining going into week 3. And despite all the drama, Bachelor Nation has high hopes that she will find love.
