‘The Bachelorette’ Fans Want to Change This 1 Contestant’s Name on Clare Crawley’s Season
Clare Crawley is finally going to get her chance at love as the new lead on The Bachelorette Season 16. However, fans are already complaining that they want to change the name of this one contestant vying for her heart.
‘The Bachelorette’ contestants for Clare Crawley’s season were released
On July 14, 2020, ABC posted 42 pictures of possible contestants for Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette. The franchise typically shares a sneak peek of about 30 to 35 guys who might be on her season a few days before filming begins. However, this year is a little different.
The gentlemen on the show are not going to the traditional Bachelor Mansion. Instead, they are at a secluded spot,— La Quinta Resort & Club — quarantined for the duration of the filming. If one of the men test positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), they won’t be on the season, so ABC made sure they have plenty of extra contestants.
Crawley is 39, so fans of the series believe the men should also be in their thirties or forties. However, when the first list came out in March, viewers were outraged that so many were in their early twenties. The new group of guys looks a little bit older.
Of the new group of men, there are 26 who are in their thirties, and only 16 in their twenties. Crawley’s youngest contestant is 26, while the oldest is 40, so it is a smaller range.

After the sneak peeks came out, many fans complained about one guy’s name — Tyler C. If you remember Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, you know that Tyler Cameron was a fan-favorite. Many viewers follow Cameron on social media and are excited that his best friend, Matt James, is the new lead for The Bachelor Season 25.
“Movement to get the name Tyler C. retired from The Bachelorette,” podcast show Chicks in the Office wrote on Twitter. “This man should have to change his name.”
Other fans chimed in right away seconding the motion and adding that there will only be one Tyler C. in Bachelor Nation.
“Pretty brave of him to try to go on The Bachelorette with that name,” another fan added. “My thoughts are with him as he tries to live up to the impossible.”
Who is the new Tyler C. on ‘The Bachelorette’ with Crawley as the lead?
Tyler Cottrill is a 27-year-old attorney from Morgantown, West Virginia. He also is a former professional boxer.
“Hometown Proud!” one fan who grew up with Tyler C.’s older brother wrote on Facebook. “He is a great young man and has a wonderful family ❤. Good Luck, Tyler.”
Of course, fans are only joking, but it will take some getting used to for fans who love the former Tyler C.
