‘The Bachelorette’: Clare Crawley Has 2 Contestants Who Were Recently Engaged or Married — Will They Tell Her or Tayshia Adams?

The latest season of The Bachelorette with lead Clare Crawley looks as drama-filled as any other. Since the 39-year-old hairstylist is the oldest Bachelorette, it comes as no surprise that at least two of her contestants were engaged or married before. However, what might add even more drama is whether these two men try to keep their marriage/engagement history a secret and if Crawley or the next lead, Tayshia Adams, finds out.

‘The Bachelorette’ contestant Brendan Morais was married before Clare Crawley’s season

Brendan Morais also lost his father, so he had something in common with Crawley before meeting her. The Bachelorette shared that she still has a special video from her dad that she will watch with the man she marries. However, if it is the 30-year-old commercial roofer from Milford, Massachusetts, it won’t be his first marriage.

According to Reality Steve Carbone, Brendan was married to Simone Santos for several years, but the couple divorced one year ago. The two went to middle and high school together and traveled across the country to relocate to Los Angeles, California. However, they both moved back to Massachusetts after the split. 

There’s no indication of why the couple divorced, but if Brendan is honest with Crawley, viewers might get the scoop. 

Clare Crawley and Bennett Jordan were both engaged before ‘The Bachelorette’

Financial planner Bennett Jordan goes by “Ben,” with his ex-fiance and close friends. However, on The Bachelorette, he transforms into a 36-year-old “wealth management consultant.” The title sounds more prestigious and fits more with his scarf and grand entrance in his Rolls Royce.

However, Bennett deleted all pictures of his former fiance from his social media accounts before going on the show. That didn’t stop Reality Steve from grabbing screenshots before they disappeared. According to Carbone, the New Yorker proposed in February 2019 to Liz Brim and was still engaged in August 2019.

On night one, Bennett bragged about graduating from Harvard. Fans were not impressed with how over-confident he seemed. Luckily, Crawley was also engaged before this season, so it might not be a big deal unless he lies about it.

Will Bennett or Brendan reveal their previous engagement or marriage to Crawley?

Clare Crawley is the only Bachelorette that looked up her contestants before meeting them. Since she did her research, Bennett or Brendan would not be wise to lie about their past engagement or marriage. If the men are smart, they might include the relationship fails as part of their backstory on the show. 

Although most viewers already read the media reports that Crawley chose Dale Moss, fans do not know who Tayshia Adams chooses when she comes in as the next lead. We will have to wait and see if the past relationships are revealed to either woman. The Bachelorette airs on ABC Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST.
