‘The Bachelorette’: All the Clues That Katie Thurston and Greg Grippo Had a Messy Breakup
Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette is underway but there are already a few frontrunners who fans believe are set to win Thurston’s heart. Ever since The Bachelorette contestant Greg Grippo got the first impression rose, he has been a fan favorite to take home the final rose. But recently, there have been a few clues that may mean that Grippo and Thurston actually already had a pretty messy breakup.

When you’re a star, people don’t just look at what you post on social media, they also keep an eye on the things that you are liking. Eagle-eyed fans recently discovered that Thurston liked a meme, shared by former Bachelor contestant Bekah Martinez, that was making fun of Grippo.
“When the guy next to you is getting interrogated about wanting to be the bachelor and you’ve gotta pretend to be disgusted while hiding your acting career aspirations,” the meme read over a photo of Grippo looking annoyed in the upcoming scene where Thomas Jacobs gets grilled about why he came on The Bachelorette.
Thurston later unliked the picture but not before Grippo’s sister commented on it.
“@thekatiethurston likes this post but was such a supporter of removing the toxicity and mean girls when she was on Matt’s season, you’d think if those intentions when [SIC] genuine she’d had just as much of an issue with this post as well,” Samantha allegedly wrote in a since-deleted comment captured by @Bachelorteaspill. “Really disappointed in this.”
After liking the photo, Thurston also shared a video of her listening to Olivia Rodrigo’s “Traitor” on her Instagram Stories.
Gregg has been accused of being an actor
The meme was further elaborating on a recent Reddit thread that accused Grippo of being on The Bachelorette for the wrong reasons.
“He is not on the show for love, let alone Katie, and his appearance on this show is solely to promote and kick-start his acting career,” the post read. Another user posted about a Bachelorette contestant who was not portraying his true self on camera.
“My best friend dated a fan-favorite contestant on The Bachelorette very seriously for a year and a half and he was awful to her,” the user wrote, according to Distractify. “This sweet shy boy act is exactly that: an act. He really is actually an actor. I’ve personally witnessed him throw a fit and call her a terrible name for wearing a mini dress, so I can only imagine what happened behind closed doors.”
The second user did not mention Grippo by name.
How does Katie Thurston feel about Greg on ‘The Bachelorette’?
So far, on The Bachelorette, Thurston has been smitten with Grippo. After he got her first impression rose, the two went on a date.
“What I loved about Greg is he was just true to himself, which was this very nervous, very uncomfortable guy,” Thurston told Us Weekly after The Bachelorette premiered. “He didn’t try and act cool or, like, be this guy that he’s not. He was just like, ‘This is me and I’m really freaking scared.’ And I thought it was really endearing, you know? And I could tell as long as he opened up, there was something more there. And so I thought, you know, giving him the first impression rose would give him that validation of, ‘I’m into you. Let’s figure this out.’”
