Dale Moss and Clare Crawley are engaged after ‘The Bachelorette’
As fans know, Crawley fell for Moss during the first episode of the 16th season of The Bachelorette. By the fourth episode, it is clear the other contestants have caught on to the favoritism and are unhappy with the way the season is going.
When Chris Harrison tells Crawley she cannot continue leading the show like this, Crawley admits that she only has eyes for Moss and wants to confirm he feels the same. The two go on a one-on-one date and Moss reciprocates that he is falling for Crawley.
The next day, Crawley breaks up with the other contestants. Harrison works behind the scenes to arrange a proposal, including getting jeweler Neil Lane to deliver a custom ring. Moss proposes to Crawley, and the rest is history.
How Dale Moss fell so quickly for Clare Crawley on ‘The Bachelorette’
On Nov. 6, the day after their engagement aired on The Bachelorette, Crawley and Moss appeared on Good Morning America. During their appearance, host Michael Strahan asked Moss how he knew so quickly that Crawley was the one for him.
“Honestly, after the first night, and I even said it the first time I knew it was special. But after we had our first group date in my mind and in my heart everything was already written,” he said.
Moss continued, “Everything after the fact just validated that, and I knew in my heart that it was going to be her and I at the end of the day.”
Strahan then asked if Moss ever doubted that he would propose when Harrison told him he would be expected to propose in just a few hours.
“No, never a question,” Moss answered. “I said from the beginning there was never a time I wouldn’t be there for you, and my heart was so full I knew exactly what I wanted to do. So, never a second thought and if you see even in the episode we’re so relaxed and we’re so calm together, and we knew at that moment we were exactly where we were meant to be.”
Clare Crawley on the hate they have received
Toward the end of the interview, Strahan asked Crawley about some of the negativity she and Moss have faced on social media from fans of The Bachelorette.
“I’d be lying if I said it’s been easy because I’m human,” she said. “The things people say without knowing the full truth and without seeing exactly how things really happened and genuinely happened, it just blows my mind…”
However, Crawley does not hold any ill will toward her and Moss’ detractors.
“I just honestly want to send them love because I think hurt people hurt people,” she said.
