There are 15 men left going into The Bachelorette Season 18 Episode 4, and it certainly looks like Michelle Young knows exactly what she’s looking for. The lead bid farewell to all the villains two weeks in a row. But now, it looks like another one will emerge from the shadows. The Bachelorette Episode 4 preview hinted that Chris Sutton (Chris S.) will become the next villain on Michelle’s journey, and many Bachelor Nation fans are already sick of the contestant’s upcoming storyline. So here’s our breakdown of the new promo trailer for the Nov. 9 episode.

‘The Bachelorette’ Season 18 Episode 4 preview teases new dates for Michelle Young

In the last episode of The Bachelorette Season 18, Michelle eliminated five men. She kicked Jamie Skaar off after she uncovered his lies. Then Lowell “LT” Murray IV, Mollique Johnson, Spencer Williams, and Peter Izzo were sent home. Now, 15 men remain, and the preview for episode 4 dropped a few clues about the upcoming dates.

The Bachelorette Season 18 Episode 4 promo trailer starts with a one-on-one date between Michelle and Martin Gelbspan. They race each other before spending some time together in the hot tub. Then Martin and Michelle head to an observatory for the evening portion. It also seems like Rick Leach gets a one-on-one date with Michelle, as they are seen kissing in a cable car and in front of a man-made city landscape.

Meanwhile, only one group date is highlighted in The Bachelorette preview. Michelle walks into a building with a group of men behind her, including Brandon Jones (Brandon J.), Casey Woods, Rodney Mathews, Will Urena, Chris S., and Nayte Olukoya. They seem to play a few games during the date. Brandon J. and Olumide “Olu” Inajide face off for an activity. Then Michelle and Chris S. play Twister.

The Bachelorette Week 4 preview indicates a few cast members will step it up for Michelle in the next new episode. The lead tells Brandon J. that he makes her feel “very special.” Clayton Echard is also seen hugging Michelle. Then Olu says he wants to be the one who the bachelorette leans on for support. But despite all the romantic gestures, one person seems to be on a completely different page.

Midway through The Bachelorette trailer, Chris S. stands in front of Michelle and the rest of the cast during what looks like the cocktail party before the rose ceremony. He claims there are men who think “they have it in the bag.” Then Michelle reveals her “biggest fear,” which is committing to someone who doesn’t really see her. Chris S. also acknowledges that fear, saying Michelle doesn’t feel appreciated in a voiceover.

Meanwhile, The Bachelorette cast doesn’t appreciate Chris S.’s claims. In a voiceover, someone says the contestant is a “snake.” Another noted that he threw everyone “under the bus.” Clayton also confronts Chris S. about the accusation. Then Nayte says there was “no reason” for the situation.

Later, Nayte asks Chris S. to have a conversation. The two men start to bicker, and Chris S. even accuses Nayte of trying to put his hands on him while continuously telling the first impression rose winner to “calm down.” The editors also decided to amp up the drama by highlighting a voiceover of Nayte saying he’s about to “knock him out” with no other context. Then The Bachelorette teaser ends with Michelle looking straight ahead, expressionless.

When ABC released The Bachelorette Season 18 Episode 4 preview, many fans expressed their annoyance with Chris S.

A Bachelor Nation fan wrote on YouTube, “I don’t like that Chris is acting as if Nayte is going to hit him when he only calmly pulled him aside for a conversation, it’s giving Jamie-level of insecure: throwing the guys under the bus & throwing Michelle for a loop then acting confused or smug when the guys get upset. Weird.”

Another viewer wrote, “I could tell Chris S. was gonna be a villain. He just has that face.”

But for the most part, it seems many Bachelorette fans are hoping Michelle will eliminate the new villain and really focus on her blossoming relationships with the other men.

“I hope Michelle sees that Chris is starting drama,” a fan wrote.

The Bachelorette Season 18 airs Tuesday nights on ABC.
