Now, the 28-year-old teacher is heading home to Minnesota, and she’s bringing 11 men with her. So what can Bachelor Nation fans expect next week? The Bachelorette Episode 5 preview dropped a few major clues about what happens when Michelle returns to the midwest.

‘The Bachelorette’ Episode 5 preview reveals who to watch out for next week
It looks like Michelle and her cast will get a fresh start in The Bachelorette Season 18 Episode 5 on Nov. 16. In the week 5 preview, the remaining men — Martin Gelbspan, Olumide Onajide, Rick Leach, Nayte Olukoya, Brandon Jones, Rodney Mathews, Joe Coleman, Leroy Arthur, Clayton Echard, Casey Woods, and Chris Sutton — fly to Minnesota. They’re hyped, and Michelle says it feels “so good” to be home.
The Bachelorette promo also teases who shines in the next group date and the two one-on-ones. First up, the men “battle it out for Michelle’s heart” in the U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings. Production had the group of suitors dress up as vikings as they arm wrestled one another, and Clayton takes on Martin. Then in the evening, Michelle is seen connecting with Rodney, Brandon J., and Rick.
Meanwhile, Michelle and Joe go to a Minnesota Twins game together. The bachelorette also goes on her second one-on-one with Nayte, and the two go on some sort of boating date. Nayte and Michelle also end their evening with fireworks.
New ‘Bachelorette’ Season 18 Episode 5 promo trailer hints Chris Sutton is still watching Nayte Olukoya
In the last episode of The Bachelorette Season 18, Chris S. came out of nowhere and suggested that Nayte wasn’t there for the right reasons. Then when Michelle gave both men roses, Nayte was just ready to progress his relationship with the lead. But it seems like Chris S. doesn’t let it go.
In The Bachelorette Episode 5 preview, Chris S. doesn’t take Nayte and Michelle’s one-on-one date well.
“Her infatuation with Nayte … I feel like I got the short end of the stick,” Chris S. says.
Now, it really seems like Michelle will finally send Chris S. home in the next episode of The Bachelorette. But under what circumstances? The promo might’ve given a few more clues.
Brandon Jones and Joe Coleman cry in week 5 of Michelle Young’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’
In the promo trailer for The Bachelorette Season 18 Episode 5, someone claims that another contestant isn’t the “right person” for Michelle. The preview highlights a clip of Brandon J. during the voiceover. Then Michelle indicates that one of her connections is done.
“Our relationship isn’t progressing forward,” she says in a voiceover.
Then Brandon J. cries alone on the stairs. Casey also says he’s “nervous” about what another contestant might do, claiming it wouldn’t “shock” him if the cast member “takes down other men with him.”
Once again, the promo slows down on a clip of Brandon J. before going to a shot of Nayte and Michelle on the dinner portion of their date. They look up in shock, and The Bachelorette trailer seemingly indicates that someone interrupts their alone time. Then it seems like another shocker is coming during the other one-on-one date with Joe. Michelle tells her contestant she “can’t do this anymore,” and there’s no other context. However, Joe starts to cry.
Now, we’re hoping Joe and Brandon J. are safe next week. Both frontrunners have had a solid connection with Michelle and a breakup in week 5 seems way too sudden. That said, emotions will definitely come into play in the new episode. However, it seems more likely the two moments will bring them closer to Michelle.
Meanwhile, we’re not sure if The Bachelorette cast members believe Brandon J. is the man who’s wrong for Michelle. Their comments seem more in line with Chris S. Sandwiched between the clips of Joe and Brandon J. is one single shot of Chris S. leaving his hotel room in the same black shirt he was wearing while complaining about Nayte. So will Chris S. be the one who interrupts Michelle and Nayte’s date? We’ll have to wait and see. But whatever happens, it’s clear our bachelorette is ready to find her person, and she doesn’t need a white knight to save her.
“If I get heartbroken, then that’s on me,’ Michelle said.
The Bachelorette Season 18 with Michelle Young airs Tuesday nights on ABC.
