The Bachelorette Season 17 is officially over, which means many fans are trying to figure out who will be the next Bachelor lead. Multiple men from Katie Thurston’s cast have already shared which contestants they hope will take on the new role. Then recently, Bachelorette frontrunner Greg Grippo shared his favorite picks for the next bachelor in 2022 — and it’s exactly who you think.
Who is Greg Grippo from ‘The Bachelor’ franchise?
In case you need a refresher, Greg is from Katie’s season of The Bachelorette. The contestant won the first impression rose. He also went on the first one-on-one date. But it wasn’t meant to be in the end.
After a successful Hometown date, Greg told Katie he was in love. Then when Katie didn’t respond the way he hoped, Greg broke up with her and self-eliminated. Then Katie moved on and got engaged with Blake in The Bachelorette finale.

Before Greg and Katie’s explosive breakup, many Bachelorette fans hoped Greg would become the next bachelor if things didn’t work out. Now, some viewers have mixed feelings about the 27-year-old. But regardless, Greg has other bachelors in mind for the role in 2022.
When speaking on The Viall Files, Greg revealed he wants to see Andrew Spencer or Michael Allio as the new lead for The Bachelor Season 26.
“Andrew S. is my guy. He’s charming. He’s funny as hell. He is a handsome guy. We call him Michael B. Jordan in the house,” Greg said. “That’s my guy. That’s my vote.”
He later added, “You know the most beloved guy in the entire world? Michael A. Those are incredible candidates, and I think that they would knock it out of the park. I don’t think that you could go wrong with either one of those guys.”

Now, Greg isn’t the only Bachelorette alum who wants Andrew and Michael as the next bachelor. Following the “Men Tell All,” Katie told Access that both contestants were her “top two picks” for the new lead. But how do Michael and Andrew feel about taking on the role?
When speaking on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Andrew was asked whether he would accept the offer to become The Bachelor Season 26 lead. Then he replied, “Probably no.”
“I would love a chance to find a girl through that process,” Andrew continued. “But I hate everything that comes with it. I hate people deep-diving into my life.”
Michael also said he isn’t interested in becoming the next bachelor in an interview with Extra.
“Quite frankly, I’m not incredibly interested in it at the moment,” he said. “If something were to be offered or discussed, I really need to understand who they would be casting because you have to go into that getting engaged. And how do I introduce that person to my son?”
Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 starts Monday, Aug. 16. The Bachelorette Season 18 premiere airs Oct. 19.
