‘The Bachelorette’: Hannah Brown Opened Up About Sex With Jed Wyatt: ‘The Sex Wasn’t as Good as it Was With Peter’
The 2019 season of The Bachelorette starred Hannah Brown as the romantic lead choosing from a crowd of enamored men. Along the way to presenting her final rose to contestant Jed Wyatt, she also made a significant connection with Peter Weber. Later, she even admitted that she enjoyed her time with Weber more, but said Wyatt offered her something he couldn’t. The details are slightly NSFW.
Hannah Brown picked an ’emotional connection’ over better sex
During the 15th season of The Bachelorette, Brown’s decision-making process left people scratching their heads. Page Six reports that she seemed to have strong chemistry with Weber. She even had sex with him four times in a windmill during their time in Greece. Brown also shared intimate moments with Wyatt, but that experience didn’t seem to be as satisfying — at least physically.
“I’ll be honest here: The sex wasn’t as good as it was with Peter,” the Alabama native wrote in her memoir. “But my emotional need for connection was more fulfilled.”
Even though Brown picked Wyatt in the end, he seemed to suspect that he didn’t quite live up to Weber in her mind. It made things awkward at times. Wyatt pressed her for information about her time with Weber, wanting to know how he measured up in significant ways.
“He also asked me if his thing was bigger than Peter’s,” she said. “Why do guys always ask that? ‘I don’t even remember,’ I told him. I just didn’t see how answering that question would be good for anybody.”
Brown’s engagement to Jed Wyatt didn’t last
Although Wyatt was the one expressing insecurity, Brown turned out to be the one who should have watched her back. By the time the second part of the season finale premiered, information came out that threw a wrench in Brown’s plans. According to USA Today, after she gave Wyatt her final rose, she found out that he wasn’t exactly honest with her.
Wyatt was seeing someone else when he started the show. Although he categorized the relationship as casual, the facts don’t seem to support that interpretation. They even went on a getaway to a secluded cabin before he left to be a contestant on The Bachelorette. This woman had met his parents, and he’d told her he loved her.
All of this was too much for Brown to accept. She returned the engagement ring. During the live catch-up at the end of the season finale, she announced that the engagement was over.
Brown and Peter Weber hooked up one more time
Weber bounced back from his rejection by Brown. He became the next lead on season 24 of The Bachelor. Brown even appeared briefly on the show. Despite an emotional reunion, she left and Weber ended the show by getting engaged to contestant Hannah Ann Sluss.
The engagement didn’t last. A few months later, Brown and Weber ran into each other at a party. It’s probably not surprising that the couple who had sex four times in a windmill still had enough chemistry that they ended up in bed that night. But what is surprising is how well it worked out.
“The chemistry just wasn’t there,” she said. “It just sucked. And then, I found out he had another girl on his mind. It was all so bizarre.”
The two of them haven’t seen each other since that night. But they reportedly have no animosity toward each other. It just seems like the windmill magic didn’t last in the real world.
