‘The Bachelorette’: Kaitlyn Bristowe Hopes Women Host Michelle Young’s Season if She Doesn’t Return
Chris Harrison didn’t return for The Bachelorette Season 17. Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe stepped in as hosts instead to help Katie Thurston find love. But what will happen next season? Adams and Bristowe talked about the future of the show, and revealed what they want to happen if they’re not brought back next season.
Kaitlyn Bristowe hopes women host Michelle Young’s season if she doesn’t return
Bristowe and Adams took on the hosting roles, but it’s still unknown if they’ll be back for Michelle Young’s season. They revealed to The Hollywood Reporter what they want to see happen in the future.
“I think we did a pretty good job — if I find out where they’re filming and I’m not a part of it, I’m showing up anyways! (Laughs)” Bristowe said. “I think you have to really listen to your audience, whether that is them sharing their concerns about the show or what they love about the show.”
She later added, “We’d love to be a part of it. And even if it’s not us, we would love to see women involved.” Adams also weighed in on the future of the show.
“Absolutely. If it’s not us, we would love to see women involved,” she said. “I think Katie has even spoken to the fact that it really helped her and encouraged her. It’s a very different experience.”
The season did start with the former bachelorettes sitting down with Thurston and giving her advice. Their advice is helpful given they were in the same position before. There are also clips of Adams and Bristowe reacting to Thurston’s interactions with each other, which can’t be done with just one host.
When will Michelle Young’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’ air?
Michelle Young was on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor. The kindergarten teacher was in the final two, but James chose to have a relationship with Rachael Kirkconnell. It was revealed Thurston would be the next star of The Bachelorette, and Young will get her own season after her.
Thurston’s season premiered on June 7. Young’s season will premiere in the fall of 2021. Harrison has exited the franchise.
“I’ve had a truly incredible run as host of The Bachelor franchise and now I’m excited to start a new chapter,” Harrison wrote in an Instagram post. “I’m so grateful to Bachelor Nation for all of the memories we’ve made together. While my two-decade journey is wrapping up, the friendships I’ve made will last a lifetime.”
Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 will premiere on Aug. 16. Celebrities will take turns hosting the season including David Spade, Tituss Burgess, Lance Bass, and Lil Jon. This announcement does make it less predictable on whether Adams and Bristowe will be back as hosts for season 18 of The Bachelorette or if there will be completely new hosts.
