The production of The Bachelorette is halted because of the coronavirus pandemic, but there is still drama. Clare Crawley made it known she isn’t happy with some of the contestants of her season. Matt James felt the need to clear things up after her call out. Find out what he wrote and more.

Clare Crawley wants more contestants for ‘The Bachelorette’

The season of The Bachelorette is being pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. Crawley seemed to be looking on the bright side and saw it as an opportunity to get more contestants.

“I feel like since we have a break in the show right now, I don’t think it’s too late to submit people. So, submit them, why not? What’s the worst that could happen?” Crawley said on Instagram Live, according to Cosmopolitan.

The cast for the season was already revealed. It got some backlash due to most of the cast being being in their 20’s. Crawley is 38 years old and isn’t against dating a younger man.

One person who stood out was Tyler Cameron’s best friend being cast. Now her latest tweets have fans wondering if she’s mad at him.

She called out the cast

Crawley doesn’t seem to be happy with how some contestants are spending their time before the season. She called people out for possibly doing the show for the wrong reasons.

She tweeted, “If you are doing interviews and creating Cameo accounts before you are even on my season… you are in it for the wrong reasons… #dontwasteyourtime” on April 25. Crawley then followed it up with “Respect the opportunity you’ve been given. Respect the rules. Respect me. @BacheloretteABC.”

Fans assumed she was talking about James given he has done interviews and has a cameo account. He is currently charging fans $29 for a video and claims the money is going toward helping COVID-19 patients.

James also participated in the NEOU’s 12-hour Fit-A-Thon on April 23. It acted as fundraiser to help healthcare workers during this time and did interviews about it. Fans replied in the comments defending him.

“Why do you always try to find reasons to sabotage your relationships? This one hasn’t even started and you’re sabotaging it. Matt is a great guy. I’m over you already….” one fan wrote. Others also pointed out the goal of his Cameo account.

“So a man who breaks the rules to help kids in poverty during a pandemic isn’t your thing??? Sorry I’m a teacher who is triggered by this selfishness..our kids need a rule breaker right now…” tweeted a fan.

It didn’t take long for the future contestant to address having an account on Cameo. He posted on his Instagram Story to clarify things.

“For those of you who may have missed the message earlier this week, myself and Alex Bachman, my former teammate and current New York Giants wide receiver, pledged all of our Cameo earnings to the Robin Hood Foundation to fight this fight,” he wrote on April 26, according to Us Weekly.

It looks like the contestant isn’t apologizing for creating the account. Fans seems to mostly be supportive of him and are not happy with Crawley.
