During week 2 of The Bachelorette, Michelle Young went on three separate dates with her contestants. She had a one-on-one date with Jamie Skaar where the two went rock climbing. The group dates centered on things that are important to Michelle – basketball and teaching. Joe Colemon was awarded MVP during the basketball date, but Michelle said another man impressed her on the court.

The week 2 group date centered around basketball

During week 2, Michelle and 10 of her men went on a group date centered around basketball. They were joined by WNBA players Dearica Hamby and Diamond DeShields, who put the men through a few drills. After that, they were split up for a game of scrimmage. The stakes were high, with the winning team continuing on to the cocktail party.

Joe shone during the game, although he was on the losing team. Michelle awarded him the MVP award and invited him to the cocktail party with the winning team. However, Joe wasn’t the only one Michelle was impressed with during the game.

Pardeep Singh impressed Michelle Young during ‘The Bachelorette’

Another contestant caught Michelle’s eye during the basketball date. “Pardeep has my heart,” Michelle said on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “He was just so excited to be here. He knew that all these other guys might be more athletic than him, but he knew that he had the smarts and just put the effort in.”

Pardeep Singh is a 30-year-old neuroscientist from Brooklyn, New York. According to his ABC bio, Pardeep “studies the brain to find cures for diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.” He is looking for “someone family-oriented, affectionate, and who cares about making the world a better place just as much as he does.”

‘The Bachelorette’: Michelle Young Hailed As ‘Perhaps the Fastest Player’ During Her Basketball Career

“There was just so much sincerity with him that every time I was watching him, I was smiling,” Michelle continued of the group date. “Pardeep made the first shot for his team and literally the stands (when I say the stands – me, Tayshia, Kaitlyn), everybody went wild.”

Is Pardeep Singh still on ‘The Bachelorette’?

Despite his efforts, Pardeep was on the losing team during the basketball group date. This meant that he had to go home and didn’t get time with Michelle during that evening’s cocktail party. Unfortunately, drama unfolded later in the episode about whether Michelle knew Joe before The Bachelorette. This led Michelle to cancel that evening’s cocktail party.

Perhaps because he didn’t have much time with her, Michelle sent Pardeep home on week 2 of The Bachelorette. Three other men will not continue on to week 3 as well. Despite getting sent home, Pardeep is definitely a catch and made a good impression on Michelle during The Bachelorette.
