On Nov. 9, The Bachelorette released a new promo for season 18 episode 4 on Twitter. The teaser starts with Michelle’s one-on-one date with Martin Gelbspan, and the narrator says the bachelorette is “on the road to finding love.” However, there’s drama on the horizon because of “jealousy.”

In the clip, Nayte seems to tell the group that he’s in a “good spot regardless.” For some reason, this appears to spark a reaction in Chris S. because he says Nayte “came off as really cocky.” The Bachelorette narrator also hints that the drama causes “a massive wreck,” highlighting a shot of Michelle crying by herself.

Meanwhile, Chris S. seems to bring up the situation during the rose ceremony cocktail party. In the promo, the contestant claims there are men who aren’t putting in any effort.

“There are guys here that think they have it in the bag,” Chris S. says. “They’re not showing you the effort that you deserve.”

The Bachelorette trailer also shows Nayte and Clayton Echard staring at Chris S. in disbelief. Then Romeo Alexander notes that the claims are a “desperate ploy to just sabotage everything.” But even so, Chris S. thinks he did the right thing.

“I came in on my white horse, and I saved her,” he tells producers.

Later, Michelle tells Nayte that she’s not a “massive prize at the end” of The Bachelorette. Then the frontrunner taps Chris S. on the shoulder, and it seems the two will hash things out.

The new Bachelorette promo for episode 4 indicates that the beef between Chris S. and Nayte is sparked from one conversation. Meanwhile, The Bella Twins, Nikki and Brie, recently suggested that there was some tension between Nayte and the cast during the group date the WWE stars hosted in week 4.

When speaking on the Click Bait podcast, the Bella Twins questioned whether Michelle’s contestants were actually ready to get married at the end of The Bachelorette. Then Nikki suggested that some individuals gave Nayte a “hard time” when they hosted the date. But even so, both women seemed to like the contestant for Michelle.

“Being in person, I feel like people gave Nayte a hard time,” Nikki said. “But I actually liked Nayte.”

Brie added, “I loved Nayte.”

Despite any tension among The Bachelorette suitors, it seems likely Nayte will still show up for Michelle in week 4. So what does this mean for the drama with Chris S. during the cocktail party? According to ABC, the cast member’s comments will force Michelle to “make some tough decisions” before she sends men home during the rose ceremony.
