‘The Bachelorette’: New Michelle Young Promo Teases What’s Next and Bachelor Nation Is Ready
Are you ready, Bachelorette fans? On Aug. 9, Bachelor Nation closed the chapter on Katie Thurston’s story. Now, the ABC reality series is gearing up for the next bachelorette, Michelle Young, and the new promo teaser will definitely make you excited to watch season 18.
Who is Michelle Young, the next bachelorette in 2021?
Michelle is from The Bachelor Season 25 with Matt James. The 27-year-old teacher from Minnesota came in late. But she quickly captivated Matt — and viewers at home. Michelle even made it through to the final two. However, the couple split before the final rose ceremony.
Now, Michelle will get another shot at love in The Bachelorette Season 18, and it looks like she’s ready for her next challenge. Back in March 2021, the new lead shared how she really felt about her upcoming journey.
“I really do think that this process works,” Michelle said during Matt’s “After the Final Rose” special. “When you can set down all of these outside distractions and really dive in, I think you can learn a lot about somebody. I’m just excited. I’m ready to get started.”

Production for Michelle’s season of The Bachelorette has officially started. Then on Aug. 9, ABC dropped a new promo teaser to hype up Bachelor Nation.
The Bachelorette trailer starts with Michelle entering a magical rose-filled building in a stunning white dress. The lead waltzes through the area, stopping by to smell the roses as “Bounce Back” by Little Mix plays in the background. Then Michelle looks back at the camera and gives a charming smile.
“Are you ready?” The Bachelorette Twitter and Instagram accounts captioned the promo.
When is ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 18 premiere? Bachelor Nation fans don’t have to wait until 2022
For now, Bachelor Nation fans will have to hold on for a few weeks before Michelle’s season of The Bachelorette starts airing new episodes. The season 18 premiere will be released on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021. And while viewers don’t have to wait until 2022 to watch the next bachelorette’s journey, there will still be a gap between Michelle and Katie’s seasons.
That said, we’re hoping The Bachelor franchise will continue dropping teasers from Michelle’s season. Before the promo was released, creator Mike Fleiss uploaded a new behind-the-scenes photo of Michelle.
“On location with our #TheBachelorette,” Fleiss captioned the picture on Twitter.
In the photo, Michelle is sitting on some bleachers right next to a rack of basketballs. It also looks a lot like a future date. But of course, we’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
Meanwhile, fans can watch Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, which will begin on Monday, Aug. 16. The upcoming season also includes a former bachelorette lead. So things are about to get wild. Get ready.
