The Bachelor franchise doesn’t have the best track record of creating long-lasting couples. Many pairs end seasons of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise engaged only to later call off the engagements. While The Bachelorette does have a higher success rate in creating lasting couples, one couple’s recent split leaves the show with only three remaining marriages.

Who recently split up?

Ashley Hebert was the season 7 Bachelorette. She ended up picking J.P. Rosenbaum and her runner-up Ben Flajnik went on to be the Bachelor. She and Rosenbaum got married in a tv special in 2012.

The pair had their first child, Fordham, in 2014 and their second, Essex, in 2016. The next year, they went on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars to work through their issues and the stress that a new baby had on their marriage.

Things seemed to be turning around as the pair renewed their vows in 2018. But unfortunately, last night, Hebert announced their split.

“It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that, after months of separation, Jp and I have amicably decided to go our separate ways,” she wrote on Instagram.

“We created the most beautiful children and shared memories that will never be forgotten,” she continued. “Our differences have taken a toll on our relationship and after years of attempting to repair the damage, we’ve decided that it is in our family’s best interest to create new and separate lives for our children.”

She finished the announcement by asking people to be respectful as she and Rosenbaum embarked on a new journey.

“Please respect our privacy as we move forward with the newness of our lives,” she said. “Our ultimate focus is to create stable and healthy lives for our children. Thank you for your love and support throughout the years. Wishing you all love, happiness, and good health.”

Which ‘Bachelorette’ couples are still married?

With the impending split of Hebert and Rosenbaum, that leaves three married Bachelorette couples, Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter, Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried, and Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo.

Rehn was ABC’s first Bachelorette. She ended the season engaged to Sutter after he proposed to her even though the show originally wanted Rehn to do the proposing. The pair got married in 2003 in a televised event. They now have two children, Max and Blakesly.

Hartsock was the season 9 Bachelorette. Her engagement to Siegfried came as somewhat of a shock to fans after Hartsocks’ frontrunner Brooks Forester randomly quit the show after expressing that he simply didn’t have strong feelings for Hartsock. Despite being devastated at his exit, Hartsock got engaged to Siegfried and the pair were married in 2015. They now have two children.

Lindsay and Abasolo met on Season 13 of The Bachelorette. The season ended with Lindsay picking Abasolo after Peter Krause said that he would not propose if chosen at the end of the season. Lindsay and Abasolo got married in 2019 and currently reside in Dallas, Texas.

Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette is currently airing and rumors have been swirling that she and contestant Dale Moss have a strong connection so maybe soon the show will be able to add another couple to the married list.
