‘The Bachelorette’ star Rachel Lindsay called Becca Kufrin’s fiance a ‘piece of shit’

Lindsay joined host Danny Pellegrino on the Everything Iconic podcast on July 29, 2020. Although the two got together to talk about Bravo, things always turn to Bachelor Nation.

“He has doubled down on his beliefs,” Lindsay said about Yrigoyen. “This is not the first time he has had problematic behavior. When he was on the season — he had a history of liking things that were racist, sexist, homophobic, calling the Parkland students ‘child actors.’ It was a lot. This is who this man is.”

Lindsay gave Pellegrino some backstory on the drama. Yrigoyen posted a heartfelt message along with a thin Blue line after the tragic death of George Floyd, so Lindsay and Kufrin discussed it on their podcast.

“We both got emotional,” Lindsay said about her discussion with Kufrin. “It was great for us and our friendship, but I think he’s a piece of sh*t.”

Fans believe Rachel Lindsay confirmed her friendship status with Becca Kufrin

Lindsay added another entry on her Honestly Rach blog on Aug. 3, 2020. She openly and honestly answers fan questions weekly. Fans believe that it indicates the two women are still friends. The question the 35-year-old responded to was very similar to her situation with Kufrin. Lindsay encouraged the fan to have an honest conversation with her friend, citing the one she had with Kufrin.

“I am so glad that we had this conversation, and I did not keep these feelings buried deep inside,” Lindsay explained. “Through this conversation, I did not have to assume her beliefs or automatically attach them to her significant others.”

She encourages individuals going through this same experience to talk with their friends openly rather than encouraging them to break up with their significant other.

“The openness took our friendship to another level, and I also understood the dynamics of her relationship,” Lindsay continued. “I say this to demonstrate that ‘good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.'”

The women laugh together and talk about Lindsay’s new apartment when the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast opens on Aug. 4, 2020.

“I cannot wait to come visit,” Kufrin tells Lindsay about her new place. “I’ll be crashing on the couch whenever you get that.”

Kufrin also talks about the “sisterhood and special bond that develops” between the other women you meet in the franchise.

“It wasn’t until after The Bachelorette that I met you,” Kufrin tells Lindsay. “There are still those women that come on who form really strong bonds and relationships with the other women.”

Lindsay explains that the level of sisterhood that bonds the leads together is a whole new closeness. It looks like the two honestly believe that friends can get through anything together.
