When Michelle Young‘s season of The Bachelorette premiered on Tuesday, October 19, one drama point stuck out to viewers. It was discovered that one of Michelle’s suitors, Ryan Fox, brought folders of notes instructing him on how to act during his time on the show. It was such unique behavior that much of Bachelor Nation thought the notes were surely a producer plant. But, according to TV blogger Reality Steve, detailed notes are just classic Ryan, says one of his alleged exes.

Reality Steve’s initial thoughts on Ryan’s ‘Bachelorette’ notes

On Reality Steve’s blog, the TV aficionado muses about Ryan’s story behind his Bachelorette notes. While he believed that Ryan actually brought the notes with him, he did not think hosts Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe found them organically. He believes production found them when they were checking the contestant’s items for things like “drugs, phones, anything that you shouldn’t be bringing” and told the hosts to go find them on camera. He also had some questions about Ryan’s story.

“Ryan admitted he’d watched 2 hours of the show before and that’s why he had any notes in the first place, and that his friends’ wife is a huge fan of the show and she’s the one that wrote some of them to help him out. This was very muddy,” he wrote. “His ‘I barely know anything about the show’ comment is completely bullsh*t since we know the guy was the Bachelor in San Jose for the Bachelor Live on Stage Tour. I’m sorry, but that was back in Feb. 2020. We don’t think this guy watched or paid attention to ANY of Clare/Tayshia’s, Matt’s or Katie’s season knowing he was being talked to about being on a possible season? Please.”

That being said, the blogger noted that, to him, the scandal overall was pretty mild in severity.

Ryan’s alleged ex weighs in on his diligent note-taking

After Reality Steve published his recap of the first episode, he spoke to one of Ryan’s alleged ex’s, Brittany Creel “about his documents and if those were all his.”

“I can say with certainty he typed out all of those notes,” she said, reported Steve. “He’s crazy about his google docs. We would take trips and he would make 12 pages of where to go at what time. He also had a doc of info about me like my favorite things and also adds to his relationship doc everytime he gets out of a relationship so he knows what to work on before the next person he dates. In fact some of what they read in that section was advice I gave him [cry laughing emoji] you can’t make this stuff up…”

The day after the episode aired, Ryan took to Instagram to joke about his notes. He posted a video of himself sipping on his morning coffee while reading through one of the folders. A card that reads “Evil Master Plan” is attached to a nearby water bottle.
