‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16: Chris Harrison Updates Fans on the Recent Rumors and It Doesn’t Disappoint
We’re two weeks away from The Bachelorette Season 16, and Chris Harrison has finally updated fans on the new season. The host recently teased he would address the “crazy rumors” while revealing Clare Crawley’s cast. And although Harrison didn’t exactly clarify anything while introducing the contestants, he did shed a bit of light on what’s to come.
Chris Harrison introduces the cast of ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16 with Clare Crawley
On Sept. 29, Harrison unveiled the 31 men vying for Crawley’s heart on The Bachelorette Season 16. The host gave brief descriptions of each cast member and teased what fans can expect moving forward.
The list included individuals like Brandon, who may or may not have offended Crawley with a “compliment.” There’s also Dale, who truly “leaves his mark early on.” Then there’s Yosef, who “doesn’t shy away from controversy this season.” But whatever happens moving forward, it’s clear Crawley will have a good time.
At the end of Harrison’s Bachelorette preview, the host dropped a new promo featuring the contestants. “I’m surrounded by 31 gorgeous men, and I just love them,” Crawley says.
Chris Harrison teases ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16 rumors
Aside from introducing Crawley’s cast for The Bachelorette Season 16, Harrison also teased the rumors surrounding the new season. The host was unable to confirm or deny anything. But he suggested Bachelor Nation fans have only scratched the surface.
“There are a lot of rumors flying around. I just want to say right now… you may think you know everything. But you don’t,” Harrison said. “It is a season you have to see to believe. And I can’t wait for the season premiere.”
He later added, “This is a phenomenal season. I can’t wait to watch it myself, much less enjoy it with all of you. There are going to be so many strong opinions, so much to talk about. We have an incredible group of guys. So many amazing storylines. I can’t wait for you to unwrap this.”
Then when speaking with The Bachelorette’s Rachel Lindsay on Extra, Harrison echoed his comments. But the 49-year-old also revealed he doesn’t know exactly how the season will end.
“I know people say, ‘Oh, we kind of know everything. We know how this is going to go.’ You don’t,” Harrison said. “It is just bizarre. … This is how crazy it is. I am excited to go back and watch because I’m not even sure how it’s all going to seemingly play out.”

Chris Harrison responds to ‘The Bachelorette’ rumors surrounding Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams
The last time Harrison said he wasn’t sure how a storyline would end, Bachelor Nation received Peter Weber’s messy season. But if the rumors are true, it’s likely fans will see at least one happy ending.
According to multiple publications in August 2020, Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 star, Tayshia Adams, will replace Crawley as The Bachelorette Season 16 lead. Crawley allegedly fell in love with one of her contestants two weeks into filming the reality series.
“The producers have told [Tayshia] that the season will still lead with Clare and her short-lived journey, and will show Clare falling in love with one of her suitors,” an unnamed source told E! News. “Clare will then conclude her journey and announce that Tayshia is the lead.”
In an interview with Access, Harrison touched on the rumors. He pointed out that Crawley was the type to do “whatever it took” to find her person. He also wondered whether Adams was “one of many” familiar faces who turned up this season.
Then when speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Harrison was specifically asked about Adams’ potential new role. But as expected, he played it coy. “She’s not not the bachelorette,” he said.
No matter what happens when The Bachelorette returns on Tuesday, Oct. 13, it’s going to be a bumpy ride. So get ready.
