Spoiler king Reality Steve Carbone answered the commonly asked question after The Bachelor season ends, “Who is The Bachelorette next for 2021?” While the franchise did not announce the news yet, Carbone is rarely wrong.
The “After the Final Rose” Bachelor special filmed on March 12. It’s common for the new Bachelorette star to join the show at the end. Host Emmanuel Acho introduced the next Bachelorette for 2021 that night.
“I reported early last week that Katie [Thurston] was going to be announced as the next “Bachelorette” in the coming days,” Reality Steve told his fans on March 9. “It happened at the taping this past Friday. HOWEVER, there is some sort of twist to it.”
Katie Thurston is The Bachelorette lead next for season 17 later in 2021. However, there will be another Bachelorette in 2021 — Michelle Young will lead season 18. Both women will have an entire season of finding love on The Bachelorette in 2021.
Why is Chris Harrison not on ‘The Bachelorette’ anymore?
Another twist that The Bachelor franchise did not plan was a change of hosts for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. Instead of Chris Harrison, the producers brought in Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe to guide Thurston through her journey to find love.
The long-running host caused a backlash among viewers when he made racist remarks in an interview with former Bachelorette lead Rachel Lindsay. So, he decided to step down from his hosting duties for an unknown period. As of the publishing of this article, Harrison will skip The Bachelorette Season 17 only.
When does ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 17 start?
The Bachelorette Season 17 will likely air on May 17, 2021. Out of the last 13 seasons of the dating show, only one of those did not start in May. Tayshia Adams and Clare Crawley’s season did not premiere in May because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Reality Steve Carbone, Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette will begin filming the weekend of March 19, 2021. Carbone tweeted the spoiler news on March 14, and he expects the franchise to release the names of her eligible men mid-week.
