‘The Bachelorette’: When Did Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth Actually Break Up?
The Bachelorette couple got engaged at the end of Season 19. Since then Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth have been making it work, but even fans noticed that they were suspiciously apart a lot in the last few months. They were denying the rumors until they officially announced they have broken up on Nov. 2. But when did they actually break up? Here is everything we know.
Kaitlyn Bristowe was in Canada and Shawn Booth was in Nashville in the summer but still denied breakup rumors
Fans of The Bachelorette have been keeping a close eye on Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth. So many noticed they were in different countries in the summer, which doesn’t bode well for any relationship. Still, Bristowe denied the breakup rumors claiming that the two have just been busy.
“I’m in Canada because every single year I have made a promise to myself and my family that I will come up every August and enjoy downtime with the people that I love in a country that I love,” explained Bristowe on Off the Vine podcast. She added, “Shawn did not come up with me because the guy just bought a gym. He bought a business. He has started something huge. He is the most dedicated person I’ve ever met.”
A source also told E! News that Shawn Booth and Kaitlyn Bristowe have been growing apart for some time. “They technically live together, but they barely see or spend time together anymore,” a source said. “It’s been a rough couple of months for them and they’ve been trying to figure out their balance, but it just isn’t working.”
Booth also reportedly attended Joshua Albers’ wedding alone
Couples typically attend weddings together, so it was also a big red flag when Shawn Booth was seen at Joshua Albers wedding without Kaitlyn Bristowe a few days before the breakup was announced. Albers was also on Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette so it’s especially odd that she wouldn’t also be there to support him on his big day.

The reality show couple gave an announcement to People saying they have split. The joint announcement makes it seem like the two are ending on good terms. The statement reads:
After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways. This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration. Even though we are parting as a couple, we’re very much committed to remaining friends and we will continue to support each other. Due to the nature of how we met, our relationship has always been very public, and we have enjoyed sharing it with all of you, but we ask that you respect our decision and our privacy at this time.
So when did the couple break up? It’s possible that it happened close to when they announced it. But fans have been suspecting they broke up back in August.
