‘The Blacklist’ Star James Spader Channels Batman in Hilarious Bloopers Reel
When cameras stop rolling, actors snap back into their normal personalities. However, sometimes that personality comes out during filming. NBC’s The Blacklist features a whole slew of bloopers, and actor James Spader channel DC’s Batman in one hilarious moment.
Jon Bokenkamp revealed some of the show’s best bloopers
A show like The Blacklist can carry some heavy material. When actors crack jokes between tense scenes, the cast, and crew can take a breath and fans get to see some hilarious moments.
Jon Bokenkamp, the show’s creator, introduced a mashup of some favorite Blacklist bloopers.
“It takes more than one draft and more than one take to get everything just right,” Bokenkamp said.
The first clip saw Spader’s Raymond “Red” Reddington collapsing into a car with a heavy sigh. However, instead of continuing to embody the hardened former criminal, he instead chose to become Batman.
“To the Batcave!” Spader said with a perfectly stoic face. Adam West would shed a tear in pride.
The rest of ‘The Blacklist’ cast had hilarious bloopers included
Besides Spader briefly turning into Batman in The Blacklist bloopers, several other cast members got a hilarious moment.
Amir Arison’s Aram begs Megan Boone’s Elizabeth “Liz” Keen to help thwart his mother’s dating life in one clip. Diego Klattenhoff sarcastically scolded Spader to remember his lines in another shot.
“Do a better job,” Klattenhoff said, causing all actors in the scene to laugh. However, Diego Klattenhoff ran into his own goofs.
While trying to flash his FBI badge it became stuck in his back pocket. Even when he tried again, he flashed the identification upside down.
Other bloopers should various instances of prop malfunctions, flubbed lines, and even a window shattering right by Spader’s head. However, the actor asserted that he did not touch the glass at all.
‘The Blacklist’ cast and crew have fun on set
When filming a dramatic series like The Blacklist, the cast and crew keep things lively and light-hearted off-set.
Whether they stop for Klattenhoff to take a dance break or for Spader to become the Dark Knight Batman, The Blacklist bloopers show some of the fun they have on set.
Of course, it’s not all play for actors. With season 9 posed to ramp up the drama even more, some scenes require more focus and fewer jokes.
Not to mention, there have been some concerns if season 9 could be the final season for the show.
“There has been no conversation about it being the final season for (The Goldbergs or The Blacklist). We haven’t gone into this being the final season; our hope is that there will be many more seasons of both shows,” Sony Pictures TV Studios President Jeff Frost told Deadline.
However many more seasons lie ahead, fans can count on plenty more Blacklist bloopers.
